Sunscreen on the scalp isn't extreme, especially for thin/fair hair. I work in a skin cancer surgery center, and every day we remove tumors from the scalp of patients of ALL AGES. It's tragic sometimes, when the tumor turns out to be sizeable, on a younger patient, and they have to go through having a bald patch until the wound heals. It's easier to wear sunscreen or a hat. Please wear sunscreen everywhere.

I recently seen a study of 300+ sunscreens. Quite a few of these name brand sunscreens have a carcinogenic ingredient. These companies took advantage of the fear of skin cancer and aging, to cause other more dangerous cancers.

They don’t know how it it got there and they are’s till researching. Nonetheless, it’s still very important to wear sunscreen. Big yes to sunscreen on the back of your hands. I spent years on the back of a motorcycle touring around, hands on my thighs with the backs of my hands facing the sun. When I was growing up one of four children living in a rural area, impetigo went through the family several times. My recollection is it took real discipline, no sharing anything like pencils or a comb and keeping everything clean, to get rid of it. A tall order for four kids who were used to playing together and being outside all the time.

I totally agree. It’s so difficult to get the sunscreen onto the back of your hands without getting it all over your palms as well 😩. I found that using a makeup wipe worked well at cleaning off my palms, but I’m opposed to using them regularly because of the unnecessary waste I’m creating. Perhaps a spray sunscreen would do the job (of course, then rubbing it in would defeat the purpose, but there doesn’t seem to be any other method 🤔)

Fun tip. I don't like sunscreen being on the palms of my hands because I wear contacts. I've noticed if I touch my eyes after applying I messes with them. What I have been doing is applying my face/body sunscreen and then I wash my hands. Then I'll rub a stick sunscreen on the backs of my hands and then rub the backs together to make sure I covered everywhere. Its a longer process but this is just the only way I can use sunscreen on my hands.

@providence51
@providence51 3 жыл бұрын
No they are slightly different. Cereve is a retinol and requires a second step in your skin to convert to a retinoid; whereas differin is already in the family of retinoids that have receptors on the skin and does not need any further steps, it is therefore available and ready to do its work. There are many videos that go over all the differences between these products and how they work
@kylebolton8147
@kylebolton8147 3 жыл бұрын
Cerave’s serum is retinol. That is a great product but Diferin requires one less step for your skin to “perform” for it to become potent. Diferin is more effective and has more data but they’re both good. Start with the CeraVe, and then if you like it when it runs out you could try the Diferin. It’s nice to work up to a more intense retinoid rather than just jumping straight into it.
