About Dr. Mary Claire Haver and The Galveston Diet -
Dr. Mary Claire Haver is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Certified Culinary Medicine Specialist from Tulane University. She is a Louisiana State University Medical Center graduate and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). She is also a Certified Menopause Specialist through The Menopause Society.
Dr. Haver was a clinical professor at UTMB and The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Dr. Haver has served as a Hospitalist, Associate Residency Director, and Assistant Professor in her career. In 2021 she opened Mary Claire Wellness, a clinic dedicated to caring for the menopausal patient.
Dr. Haver has amassed over 3 million followers across social media by posting advice for women going through menopause. She understands that menopause healthcare is in dire need of change and is proud to be leading the conversation.

Thank you Dr. I have PCOS I was diagnosed when trying to get pregnant. I have had two babies, with a lot of assistance. They are now 15 and 12!! I'm 47 years old now and I find that unless you are trying to get pregnant, it is very hard to get proper treatment, advice or maintenance advise from Doctors. It's wonderful to find a Doctor that actually cares about Women's issues.

I make all my own probiotic foods, kefir, kombucha, home made ginger ale ( fermented ginger) , I make my own yogurt and eat and drink these daily. 😃

To whom it may concern😉 Turmeric really as effective as ibuprofen when taken daily. When I used to take high doses (600 or 800mg) of ibuprofen, I would always get a migraine because it dialated my blood vessels. Turmeric triggers migraines on me (when taken too much) for the same reason. If I add half a teaspoon to my food, I'm alright. Moral of the story...more is not better.

Thank you for being the first doctor to not push bioidentical hor.ones being safer than HRT. I too use HRT and I learned a year ago that it's all made in a lab yet bioidentical hormones are pricey$$$

@@maryclairehavermd8473 I tried to find an OBGYN through the website in Houston that had good reviews and I could not find one. Most hormone doctors are pushing bioidentical hormones, mostly pellets. Drives me crazy how they say how much more natural and better they are.

@@jodynicoll1124 I know they are all called HRT. Lol. That is not what I was talking about in my comment though. I was talking about her not being one to push the natural/bioidentical. Some doctors push natural/bioidentical as being better and some doctors do not. There are just as many doctors pushing natural/bioidentical as there are doctors like this one that are not. I am glad you can afford natural. We all have to do what we can afford. My story is long but I do my research. There are always risks involved even with natural/bioidentical so we must weigh the risks and the pros and choose what we can afford and think what is best for our personal situations.

I appreciate this information! The video would be better if you weren’t on your treadmill. The constant movement is distracting. Lectures, even informal ones, aren’t delivered this way. Just some feedback.

52 in May… had hysterectomy about eight years ago but one ovary left. I have never taken any hormones and just now am having sleep issues and feeling sluggish. I am in Nashville Tennessee and would love to come to your clinic.

Hi, is estriol safe to use as compared to estradiol as vaginal cream ? I am 48, my gynaecologist prescribed me estriol to relieve early symptoms of peri menopause, what is your take on Estriol please? A new subscriber from Australia, love your work, thanks

Magnesium isn't currently a supplement that Dr. Haver offers through her supplement program, but you can absolutely buy it online via Amazon or other sellers.

Thank you for your content! I am on a vitamin D maintenance dose of 25 mcgs, 2x/daily. You said you're on a maintenance dose of 2,000 ius. How do I know how many IU's I am taking?

I am 52 just got the combi patch 0.05-0.14 is this enough to preserve my organs and is the dosage right for a estradiol and I think the progesterone is a synthetic one. I am not sure about the dosages.
