Love it! All five are indeed amazing for their own reasons. I would add Seiko for its creativity, affordability, history and popularity, particularly among the first-time buyers, and also for creating some amazing movements for Grand Seiko. My second addition to the list would be A. Lange & Söhne.

Marco you could have extended the topic a bit more and give your views on how many of these old historical brands have the bright future with the way things are right now , but this is nice nice topic . But at present if i want to buy a watch from any Historical brand its definitely VACHERON CONSTANTIN and CHARLES FRODSHAM .
@BenNS197118 сағат бұрын
I agree with all your choices except Cartier. Rolex or Omega have more significant contributions to watchmaking. When it comes to JLC, though my experience with them was not positive, they are one of my favourite brands. At the higher end they are outstanding but their entry level pieces just don’t do justice to their reputation and with their recent price hikes, they’ve become overpriced for what you are getting.

Prestigious mechanical watch and silicon hairspring don't go together, there's only one way for Breguet and Patek to go, that is downwards unless they change.

Cartier doesn’t belong in the top 5 historical brands. I’d put Omega in the fifth spot before I’d put Cartier.
@thebeerhunter98Күн бұрын
Well, Cartier did make the 1st men’s wristwatch, so they’re certainly in the conversation.

Insane take. First men’s wristwatch means nothing historically for watches I guess 😅
@BobbyDazzler88817 сағат бұрын
@@jordanlemichaelthats a historical event. It shouldn’t define the whole brand based on a single event. Cartier is predominantly case design with majority sheeter movements that font keep very accurate time. They do release some special overpriced movements recently but are mostly flops.

Another amazing video. Off topic, do you think the Rolex Pepsi Gmt (both steel and white gold meteorite) will be discontinued in 2025? Ads haven’t been receiving many during 2024.
@MarcoFerranteWatchesКүн бұрын
Thank you brother! I love these questions as they always require me to bring out my magic 8 ball lol. Who really knows. If I was a betting man I would say neither are discontinued as Rolex has given us no reason to believe they will be for many years now. Glad you enjoyed this and thank you for the continued support 🙏

I own 3 Jaeger-LeCoultre watches, 1 Reverso 1 Master Reserve demarche and 1 Master Ultrathin small subseconds. The Master Controls have open case back. They have blued screws. Maybe not finished to Lange level but then again your not paying a Lange price. They run flawless. The Master Reserve demarche is my favorite.

Marco, for you to be only 18... and a half years old and to have accomplished soooo much at your age is amazing. Your intelligence has no equal. Sorry not sorry Roman. Still, I'm not saying you need to change your personality but you're quite stiff and formal in front of the camera. It's like you're a robot reading from a script. Your name is Marco, not Siri. You've got to relax a little bit. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! To good health and good fortune.

I would argue that Blancpain is still claiming the oldest at 1735 before VC. Breguet in 1775 should replace AP - the one hit wonder company with the Royal Oak. Catier?? Really ? JLC made most parts for everyone. IMO - Take out Cartier & AP from your list. Top 3 are Patek, Breguet and Vacheron - it's just the "fan boys" of social media keep the hype up for Rolex and other lesser brands.
@MarcoFerranteWatchesКүн бұрын
We can agree to disagree regarding Cartier and as for AP they are not part of my list. As for Blancpain, the investigative journalist Perezcope has challenged Blancpain about their claim to 1735 fame as there is not a single piece of physical evidence that ties Blancpain to its supposed founding in that year. Blancpain has yet to show any evidence to certify 1735 as the official start date of the brand where both Vacheron and Breguet can provide evidence for the start of each of their respective brands. Perezcope wrote a tremendous article about this topic that I highly recommend you read that shows they have changed their true date of origin throughout their history. I simply don't believe the 1735 start date without evidence when they themselves published previously that the brand started in 1815 in numerous articles from the past...

AP really needs to diversify their lineup. 50 variations on the Royal Oak doesn’t really impress me. They need to come up with something new and exciting and perhaps even shelf the Royal Oak for a while.
@tkmr0324Күн бұрын
@@MarcoFerranteWatches I'm aware of the 1735 Perezcope article and read it. I feel Vacheron holds the oldest title since BP can't produce evidence. I saw AP wasn't on your list, I was just making a point that most still put them in the "Holy Trinity" of every list, and Breguet should replace them on that list. IMO it should be Patek, VC and Breguet, then JLC 4th, which Cartier is not even close to these brands, at least for me.
