Thanks for an informative and engaging video. When you use your phone as a monitor, are you also able to have the gimbal control the camera? like the red record button? I have a sony a7iii, and I don't believe I'm able to have the phone and weebill both talk to the camera. Thank you again.
@JakeSloan4 жыл бұрын
I do use the phone app from Zhiyun and then use the gimbal to control the camera. I will make sure my settings are set correctly on the camera for the conditions I am shooting in and then use the gimbal controls from there. Cheers!

Thanks for that video. Meant to comment on your initial review of the Webill, but decided to do it here, bc my question is accessories related. So I've been wondering how you store the gimbal in your bag and how are you walking around with it in your hand, when it's not stored away. I'd love to store it in the side pocket of my camera bag, instead of putting putting it away completely in my bag. Does that Form factor allow that? Also, are the locks durable enough to leave the gimbal powered off while walking around with it? I'm using a Beholder DS1 and looking to upgrade.

Nice video Jake! How have your audio results been? On my Ronin M the motors are so loud that I cant mount a mic on the handles, they just pick up all that motor noise. Anyhow, my Ronin M has broken for the 2nd darn time, and I'm about ready to buy one of these Weebills.
@JeffKendallWeed5 жыл бұрын
@@JakeSloan Thanks man, it'll be SO NICE to finally get decent audio on a gimbal! Just hoping this thing proves to be reliable- I almost want to buy a second to use as a backup! I shoot with an A6500 with the 10-18 F4, hopefully it all works well on this.

Hey Jake! Thank you man! Quick question: the affiliate link for the EACHSHOT handle you link to takes me to Amazon and says that it is ONLY for Weebill S and specifically "Not for Weebill Lab." I really want to buy the handle for the extra room. Has something changed since this video posted? Or will the EACHSHOT handle actually fit the LAB as well as the S?

It will fit. I don’t know why they say that but it’s the same handle.

Hi, great video. I have Weebill Lab and Atomos Ninja V with a large battery on it. Do you think the small friction ball head would be adequate to mount the Ninja to the gimball?
@JakeSloan4 жыл бұрын
With a larger battery you will need something that is more heavy duty. This is a fantastic option: amzn.to/2LvXr7p (affiliate link) and gives you the ability to mount other things as well. Cheers!

indeed, it looks sturdier thanks a lot. I would love to use your affiliate link, but I live in Germany. Do you have one for amazon.de maybe?

Hi Jake! Question: how do you balance the Weebill S with the Rode video micro on the top? Do you just not worry about the tilt axis adjustment where you point the lens up? Any issues?
@JakeSloan3 жыл бұрын
It doesn't take much more than lowering the arm just a touch since it is so light. You can not worry about it because the Weebill S is pretty strong but I generally try and rebalance anyway. Cheers!

@hakeem-ji5 жыл бұрын
thanks for the great little review mate ... have you tried the gimbal with a fullframe mirrorless camera and slightly longer lens like 24-105mm f/4? I am planning to get it for that setup but am not sure if it will stabilise properly!
@hakeem-ji5 жыл бұрын
@@JakeSloan many thanks mate, for very useful feedback. That's the thing, I don't wanna get a heavier gimbal for travelling but my only setup will be up coming Lumix S1 and 24-105mm f/4. Which is, roughly 2kg in total weight. This gimbal should carry it according to the specs (3kg max) but am not entirely sure, considering the small size of it. Well, I will be testing it soon, as soon as my pre-order on S1 will be served! Best wishes

Hey Jake, I've been agonizing about getting my Weebil S to balance with a Feelworld monitor and that ridiculously stiff HDMI cable it came with. Do you have any links for what worked best for you?

@nalarepooc14 жыл бұрын
Hello Jake - I have thought of another important and useful accessory for the Weebill S, and no doubt something that you may have considered as an entry, which is of course is the Transmount Telescope monopod - for all those elevated overhead shots and can also be used for under slung shots (where you don't want to strain your back by bending down for long takes etc.) I have my Weebill S on order - plus some accessories, that you had already mentioned in your presentation, and I shall definitely obtain the offset handle and a lightweight / thin HDMI cable for my Freeworld MA5 monitor. I will be using a monitor mount, made by 'SMALLRIG' to support the monitor.
@JakeSloan4 жыл бұрын
Great point. It might be time for me to do a new video. There are some great accessories for the Weebill now and the good thing is they work with both the lab and the S. Cheers!

Hey Jack, great video as I had this gimbal for months and just decided to buy the quick connect. So as you said in the video you need to buy 2 quick connects in order to have one mount for each of the handle placements. I didn't realise this before buying so I was disappointed to find that I can only use the quick connect on either the top or bottle of the weebill :( Do I really need to buy 2 or do you know if you can buy just the plastic part seperately. Thank you
@christianlionel19885 жыл бұрын
@@JakeSloan Thanks for the response Jake :) That's a really big shame considering all I need is just the top connector part. I wish they supplied 2 of them. Looks like I need to spend another 20 dollars which isn't much but seems a bit greedy of Zhiyun

@@JakeSloan Jake Sloan Yeah I suppose they'll be a use for me too :) I've been using the weebill with the A7III strictly for travel videos. Basically as the weebill is such a small gimbal I wanted to know if you know of any bags (sling bags) that can accommodate the A7III and weebill already attached and ready to go.
