I haven’t did doordash seriously in about a year and I just started again a week ago and was wondering why I wasn’t getting orders and if I did they were horrible and I’ll admit I was being too picky lol. Before it didn’t matter what acceptance rate was and there was no top dasher at the time. I got down to a 0% acceptance rate not knowing they made the change that it can not hurt your experience. My goal now is to get top dasher, my ratings and everything is great just got to get the acceptance rate up, which won’t be easy cause there are a lot of crappy orders that can go through but I guess it’s better than getting nothing at all.

I came back this video just to see what the hell am I missing about being Platinum… and DoorDash really messed this up. As top dasher you had infinite declines, bc even for you guys there are more bad offers than good ones. Platinum has “priority” but realistically you’re limited to 30 declines now before dropping out and even less if you’re teetering on the edge of losing it if you’re at 74%. That’s just not fair lol. Ty for this classic gem Richard. This just proves that DoorDash is still the same at heart but gotten even worse at its execution. It also felt like DD 100% held orders for me and positioned me in a drop off area to get a really good pickup. Now with platinum that feeling is all but gone. Got a $6 for 12 miles, I declined and then got a catering for 6 miles that turned into $38. If I had suckered out and taken the bad order to preserve AR I would’ve missed out on big money.

Good eye. I think it might be based on GPS in their phone. It'll try and give miles based off of the predestined route. Sometimes it'll give you the longer route initially, sometimes it'll show you the shortest AS the order. So good thing to keep in mind.

Been a top dasher for over a year and top,dasher do get more orders. But quality of orders are really the issue that gets everyone. I’m in a region that is giving priority to dashers who are over 50 percent acceptance rate and even more priority to dashers who are over 70. A top dollar or blue diamond order that is being prioritized are one that are over 1.50 a mile. Unlike the top dasher which goes on the order size the new pilot goes on dollars per mile. Been doing it now for exactly 1 week and I love it. Not making much more money but not having to deal with no tip orders constantly is a relief. My acceptance rate went from 52 percent to 77 percent in 1 week! And I can definitely tell the difference at the 70 percent level.

You're lucky if other platforms are busy in ur area and not just DD. In my market DD is the most used platform. I do make $100 bucks a week from uber eats tho.. but mostly of the gig income I get is from DD. So being a top dasher for me is a must unfortunately..

Top Dasher and "Accept More Earn More" are different programs though. The latter isn't active in every market. The only benefit of Top Dasher listed on the website is Dash Anytime. And it all still means nothing until people start posting their mileage. I like how ALL the offers were bad lol.

There is just too much trash and long distance orders in my area that in order to maintain high AR you don't make money due to the garbage offers. This was 2 years ago. Top Dasher is now called "Platinum" and requires at 70% or better acceptance rate plus 100 deliveries within the last 30 days. "Top Dasher" required you to be at 70% acceptance rate on the last day of the month, then it didn't matter for the rest of the month. (But yeah, no idea why declining one order sometimes makes you lose 2% instead of 1%)

I had a friend in NY. We both did Doordash. He was top dasher and got nothing but low ball orders. It's actually a pain being a top dasher. They send bad orders to your phone all day. Now if there was a filter on the account like let's say dont send me anything under $7, now that would make a difference. No filter...no benefit being a top dasher.

The Chick Fil A order that came back through wasn't the same order. Two different prices and two different miles. So not sure about orders coming back. Also since the NTD phone was online and working prior and turned an order down as it started appears door dash was pausing for too many turn downs. Also is everyone on the same cell network. I used multiple phones on multiple networks and have noticed that can definitely make a difference. Would like to see this done with phones on same cell network with both starting dashes at the same time. Two many outside variables here to draw any conclusions from what the video showed.

this was before the programs of "Diamond Zones" and "Dasher Rewards" came out, this was back in the good old days when it was only Top Dasher, you would qualify at the end of the month and get the perks of what you see in the program called Dasher Rewards but you didnt have to maintain the stats all month, once you got it at the end of the month you had it for 30 Days. You're about 2 years late to the party

I understand alot of people believe in the top dasher theory and it may work in some areas however here I do better by just deflecting what I don't like I work 12 hr days Monday through Friday and I make between 350 to 400 a day with how I do it. I've had my acceptance rate as low as 7%. I have top dasher friends who average 200 a day and grind out 7 days a week. So for me 1,750-2000 with my methods just makes more sense

If you're a top Dasher like he says, you're the Manager of the regions you work in. You get the orders as they come in first before they trickle down to the rest. And imagine if you're in the Large Order Program and get to choose those orders first. like your vid's. Saw you on w/ Pedro. I failed TD last 2 months after getting 50-60% AR. Gonna try again this month, I feel like the closer I get the worse the orders get and my AR will drop 20% in a day. At 35% now. I've heard some clamor about TD but also say the sweet spot is TD with 50% Ar for the priority high pay orders. Do these stack? I'm gonna try again, the long mileage low/no tip orders are what kills me everytime. I can't decline all of them. I'll have to really pick my battles

Your not factoring in the low paying cheap offers u must complete in order to get "priority".. You have to take money loosing orders, in order to get the money ones. Acceptance rate (17%, 10 year vet!)

I see you Richard for sneakily changing the title to Platinum for more clicks 🤣 But Platinum is the same thing but worse because you can’t decline indefinitely anymore, completely ruining any usefulness to the tier in my opinion. Some can maintain it, most can’t & despise it

I'm honestly unconvinced that there is any benefit. There was only one order that popped up on the top dasher phone that was worth taking. What's the point? I would make more money sticking with my usual 10% acceptance rate.

Compare total milege each month from top dashers, compared to regular smart dashers who only accept good dollars to miles options, and then we can truly see if its worth it. Because, lets be honest, most of what you were offered first were terrible orders, requiring ALOT of gas milege. Im not convinced the gas cost is worth it for top dasher status.

Start all three accounts on a brand new dash, for a better control. The non td phone never got restarted, resetting it in the orde que, like the other 2 were. This is a skewed test.
