We would take up all 4 to 5 lanes with no care in the world, and thankfully the traffic was very light so we weren't doing any harm. @DoubleMonoLR
@DoubleMonoLR 4 жыл бұрын
They were fairly common here in NZ(& presumably Australia) too, as most of our cars came from Japan(mostly used). A basic 90s Celica is pretty cheap here now, quite a few are very basic though(some local kids had one as a cheap car), the sportier models are worth a lot more. There seems to be about 35 for sale at the moment on the most common website, aging from 1979 to 2004, one is a rally car :) There's 100's of skylines for sale, but mostly newer. About 40 from the 90s, but quite expensive on average. Perhaps an example of how relatively common these types of cars were - in the late 90s a fellow polytechnic student(I guess he was about 19), who normally cycled in, unexpectedly turned up one day with an MR2 he'd just bought(probably about a 1990 model).

Idk if anything over 850 is comfortably streetable. It’s usually a *phat* turbo with lag for days proceeded by a swift karate kick to the tail end. And yes there are setups that give a more linear response, but those come with diminishing returns.. And may or may not require an engineering degree.
