Jeremy did say that he loved working at Top Gear just to try and annoy the BBC and their lawyers. He said they said things which they knew would provoke a reaction. Also since the BBC is publicly funded, these comments always landed the BBC in the crapper and I was told when a new series was starting, BBC bosses used to hate it, 8 weeks per series of them trying to apologise for everything said and done on the show.

I really do think this is what seperatesTop Gear from The Grand Tour, Top gear is iconic and TGT is just another (car) show. The limited budget and constant annoyance, resulted in a very creative work environment for the three presenters at the BBC. The cheap car challenges were my favorite segment. Clarkson driving the Peel P50 in the BBC office building was also a great moment.

Imagine calling racism a “different sense of humour” 💀
@JBW274 ай бұрын
@@sophisabelle1155 imagine instantly shouting "racism" when another race is mentioned. They're clearly jokes and those offended are almost never the subject of the joke. Good job being a Karen though.

Hi Arthur, I have watched Top Gear since the reboot version started in 2002 and Jeremy especially was always on verge of being sacked by the BBC, and it eventually happened in 2015 when he punched his producer for not giving him a hot meal after filming.
