I am a carry on girlie. I am about to go on the celebrity edge for 10 days and was thinking maybe this one time I'll check a bag.... nope, I'm going to stick to carry on only! Thanks for sharing!

I did enjoy your very informative video! Thank you both! My husband and I are embarking on the Celebrity Edge out of Auckland to Sydney in February. I do agree that the Celebrity brand is a good choice having done a cruise on the Celebrity Solstice a few years back. It too didn't disappoint. I think that the Infinity Verandah works well in climates that aren't humid and tropical since the air-con automatically shuts off when the window is opened. I don't see this as an issue in New Zealand's cooler temps and won't mind the window open with no air-con. My question is: are the potted plants uncovered once the ship is at sea since they are covered in ports due to bio-security concerns?...I can't recall. I'm glad you enjoy cruising. It's a lovely form of travel unless, of course, we're cursed with another pandemic.

Thanks @Tellyawhat4, glad to hear you found the video useful! We didn't see any potted plants with special "headwear" aka coverings during our sail between Sydney and Hobart. That might be a NZ biosecurity requirement perhaps? Wishing you a lovely upcoming trip.

@andie.ryan.under.the.influence Hi Andie, Bio-security is definitely an Australian concern though I believe NZ shares this concern. My guess is that the covers are removed once ships are far enough off shore and replaced just before the next port is reached. Could also have been since your cruise wasn't international. Make sense.

I’m confused why you hadn’t put a luggage tag on the suit bag or asked the staff for one if you didn’t have one? Was this an oversight as it was your first cruise? Great video though. Can’t wait to try the Edge in a few months time.

Thanks @khardy1801, we did indeed put a luggage tag on the suitbag which was why it going missing was all the more annoying. Edge staff were star though and a great help. Enjoy your upcoming cruise!
