You are so brave and singing is so good for you, well done! Go for yourself, and love yourself, maybe even try not to care what others think, as they probably don't! Look at the world with 'innocent perception' like a baby who has no judgement & so no fear ❤️

I have a full blown anxiety/social anxiety disorder plus extreme agoraphobia. I haven’t been outside in 12 years as a result of anxiety and now I’m terrified of human contact. I try to keep positive but the future seems pretty uncertain.

Thanks Dr. It was a very clear explanation, I’m taking notes of everything you’re teaching. I’m a counsellor in the UK and there is nothing better than learning from experienced people like you.

I have really bad social anxiety. Like I tremble, and my face turns red when I am in any sort of confrontation. Because of this I do a lot of things that are against my morals/values just so I wouldn’t have to get into confrontations. It makes me feel crappy, but I really can’t help it. I still try to face social situations to feel better about myself, but it always ends up with me feeling more miserable. Maybe because I am hyper sensitive and critical about my appearance. I also act differently towards different people. I don’t really know myself anymore.

I wonder whether psychiatrists sometimes get affected by their patients and also have some degree of anxiety or depressions.

Good & sensible advice, though not enough! What do you do when your fears (of irrational hostility) are confirmed? For eg I joined a t'ai chi class (safe enough you'd think) until I told the class I wouldn't be taking the vaccine and a woman beside me turned her angry face & said she had to "stay away from me". I haven't been out since.

@@TracyNewton-q3b thank you for asking! 😊 no, I've given up 'socialising' (cowardly I know) but thankfully I have my little family or else I'd maybe crazy by now. I wonder if shopkeepers & checkout workers know what lifelines they are for a bit of daily conversation.

@@alicerose9140 that's understandable. I have no family, or many friends. I used to work the till in a charity shop. The customers where my life line, until a controlling assistant manager shouted a some customers and I decided it was to toxic for me. I have been in depression relapse and have not socialised much either. 🙏🏻

@@TracyNewton-q3b I was thinking about you and wondered about voluntary work, but one never knows when a traumatic outburst may occur. So sorry that happened to you bc we are liable to dwell on it & it inhibits us from taking the same 'risk' again. I have no friends but a 3person family. And yet even then we can feel lonely. No one really knows us like ourselves and that's why I practice self-love by saying "I love you" out loud as often as I need, it feels good! 😊
