Great to be a part of this club. I'm completely shore bound but very recently ran across some of your youtube vids. Applied that info and on my first beach episode (which was this week) I landed a 32 red on my first cast. Completely sold on this club. Thanks a million.

Great insight on a topic that doesn't get enough coverage. Would be really interested on an indepth on surf tackle for Florida surf like best hook types and lead sizes needed for the varying conditions

The sinker guy Sputniks were a game changer for my surf fishing. Being able to stick a dropper rig near a run out bumped my catch rate. Tight lines.

I recently moved to the Eastern shore of Virginia. I did buy a boat but prefer surf fishing. Haven't been having much luck. Lot of good info. Thank you Salt Strong team

This is the longest fishing video that I’ve watched and I think it is because Courtney was on here. Someone on here said that women are better teachers. IMO, I just think they are more *effective* teachers with other women, and definitely more patient. My husband gets irritated with me all of the time about what he views as routine with cars, or household appliances, and tools. I have to remind him that I did not have a father who taught me all of those basics, so although I may have spent 8 years in higher ed., I am a blank slate with many things typically viewed as something of more masculine interest. Even when he isn’t irritated with me, he is so far removed from being a noob that he has no idea how much I don’t know and where to begin. I think lots of women have that experience. It’s not intentional by any means; we all are raised with different experiences and views even when we come from the same family! Courtney is an intelligent role model for women/girls and I can’t wait to learn from all of you!

On West Central Florida beaches are packed so I’ll leave the house early. I set 2 rod holders with rods at the property line with my chair in the middle. Can’t walk the beach much. I don’t see the cuts around here. Smaller baits do catch more fish here. Go to the bar & cast back to the beach for snook. Love your videos

I love the channel but, y'all seem to be mostly inshore fishermen whereas, I am a surf fisherman. So, I am really glad to see some surf fishing videos for a change!

surf fishing here (well, not there here anymore but then here) about an hour north of Santa Barbara, there were many days during slow action spurts I would use a typical high-low rig with size 2/0 hooks, I'd be tired of digging sand crabs so one day I just put a 3.5" florescent curly tailed grub on each hook & chucked it out about 90-100yrds using a 6oz weight. then I plopped down into my beach chair doing nothing to my pole other than peek. Started catching bigger bar perch than typical those years... gave me new perspective on using lures over bait. The surf at, well, Surf Beach was always rough with lots of water movement and rips. apparently the water movement was plenty make the plastic grubby things look tasty or just get the perch angry. After that I always put on pole out there rigged the same way... perfect truly lazy guy surf fishing. I then would fiddle making more leaders or chucking hardware with my other pole. over the years that setup always came through and I never got skunked.

Rock structures was mentioned which probably never move but all the other structures at low tide are sand (bars, rips, troughs) so don't they constantly move / change / disappear / appear due to storms and mother nature in general?
