Fun fact about S-cry-Ed, it’s by the same director as Code Geass, and the director said in a magazine interview once, that Geass and S-Cry-Ed (and his other show infinite Ryvius) are a part of a trilogy. Its an "Under the Radar/Less talked about today" series that I really enjoy & is a pretty fun series overall (S/O's to its ENG & JP voice casts)! When it was first airing on Adult Swim, towards the start of my high school years, my Uncle started to invite me to hang out & spend the weekends with him. We both had watching anime & gaming as hobbies so we always had a special connection in regards to these things. Friday & Saturday nights was always a good time. We first caught Kekkaishi when it was first airing & we were both pretty hooked on it. He unexpectedly & unfortunately passed earlier this year, which was a massive shock to me & my family. Kekkaishi was a series we both really enjoyed so I definitely plan on doing a much needed re-watch this year in honor of him. R.I.P Uncle, see you on the other side.

@AriMakesArt10 ай бұрын
I actually finished a full rewatch of Paranoia Agent about two months ago on Crunchy Roll. Satoshi Kon's work was always excellent, and this show was truly a gem. The problem was if you missed certain episodes, you were basically out of the loop until you could catch it again. Thankfully that's not an issue these days, but when it first aired, that was immensely frustrating. Paranoia Agent had some interesting themes around taking responsibility for oneself/relationships/job/etc. and the anxieties (Lil' Slugger) that can plague us from avoiding said responsibility; it's still quite resonant with a modern audience. In hindsight, it's funny to hear Sam Riegel as Lil' Slugger and Liam O'Brien as the younger detective, given their close friendship today. I wonder if it was this show or another show that really cemented their relationship.

I think Locomotion aired many shows that were shown on [adult swim] in the U.S., shows like Cowboy Bebop, Candidate for Goddess? Super Milk Chan, Wolf's Rain, Blood+, Death Note, Bleach, among others, were shown in Locomotion, which eventually became Animax later, in Latin America. The way more mature anime was broadcasted in Latin America was weird in the 2000s, due to economic problems there weren't as many shows dubbed like in the late 90s, and the quality of dubs differed a lot depending if the show was dub in Mexico or Venezuela I personally think things improved a lot in the mid 2010s when streaming made anime much more accessible, we now have much more anime dubbed than before

I NEVER forgot Super Milk Chan (literally will do the random intro song or shout "you dumbass!" to this day with my sisters), Witch Hunter Robin (my favorite anime; I have a shirt and DVDs with film slides included in them), and Paranoia Agent (my middle sister's favorite anime). I shockingly didn't know about or get to see the April Fool's Day thing with Witch Hunter Robin, so that was awesome that you included it in the video. These animes and Toonami animes were a huge part of my teen years. Another good one I was surprised didn't at least get mentioned alongside Witch Hunter Robin was Wolf's Rain. These two shows back to back were amazing. Then let's not forget . Hack//Sign who never gets credit for doing first what SAO essentially stole as its plot. The theme song and characters were so cool.

Milk-Chan! OH MY GOD THANK YOU!!!! I suddenly remembered this show out of the blue, but could not for the life of me remember the name!

Witch Hunter Robin was cool. Must rewatch that. Blue Gender is interesting qnd it's kind of like Starship Troopers, it changes tone several times and plot

Fun fact: Pilot Candidate's time slot was given to Inuyasha when it started airing. Pilot Candidate was really fun, and the orchestral music rivals the best anime OSTs.

Super Milk Chan I remember watching back in 2004 after Inuyasha finishes it’s episode every Saturday. Kekkashi I also remember 1 year before Toonami came back.

I remember finding paranoia agent randomly! Its super weird and freaky but dont regret watching it at all it was an experience

Moribito is severely underrated, it may have a average plot, but that average plot was well executed. I love the action, lore, characters and more. You call it filler episodes, but I disagree, those episodes gave room for the audience to digest what was going on and gain depth on the characters. Like the episode when chagoon beats the scammers, it shows his intellect and how he was fostering an understanding for the common of his father’s kingdom. Again a criminally underrated show. And with the info that you just gave in the messy broadcast, I can see why a lot of ppl don’t know much about it.

I vaguely remember a few of these. Super Milk Chan and Paranoia Agent were incredibly confusing. I do remember Kekkaishi and more distinctly remember S-CRY-ED being for it being very action packed.

Wouldn’t hurt to have a mini list of contenders for the number 1 spot, sort of how mothers basement does their tier list. Other than my personal gripe great vid, I like how the passing was done and how it didn’t feel off when you swapped to other people’s perspectives.

@@MrTopTenListSteve Blum, he is the actor who dubbed Spike from Cowboy Bebop in English, right? He also voiced Kazuma in s-CRY-ed? That's amazing Here in Spanish-speaking Latin America s-CRY-ed was dubbed in Venezuela and Kazuma was voiced by Luis Carreño, who is better know for voicing SpongeBob, though he has also voiced some anime characters like Xellos in The Slayers and Iida in My Hero Academia

this list literally has most anime which i may or may not have watched on a similar channel dedicated to anime, animax kekkaishi was aired there way back 2013 on animax (and the channel was in its last hurrah before being plugged out by sony india) i kinda missed out on witch hunter robin, its OP was beautiful and story was interesting too good to see trinity blood being mentioned, i used to watch it a lot which came along side blood+ back then

@NoOneReallySpecial10 ай бұрын
Not too many anime with essentially an innocent girl from a convent as the main MC; let alone one that's religious yet is a witch and turns out to be the mother of witches related to those from the Salem Witch Trial times. Not a character background you hear of often.
