Purple as in the DGK?... DGK is pretty rare. The rescue orange still available as used online every now and then. Infact, I'm still looking for a complete DGK GX-56..

A little difficult on this watch. U need to remove the straps first, and then the bezel (there are 2 screws on the left & right side of the bezel), only then the case back cover will come out.

I think that fogging is normal because of temperature change. Are You connfident Sir that glue between two components is not going to react with sunlight causing even more problems

So far not an issue. Optical glue that's used in this process, is similar to the one used on smartphones with curved tempered glass.

I don't think you are right about the design being the cause of fogging. There is moisture trapped in the case. If you took the back off, gently heated it for a while to remove the moisture then refit the back it should be fine.

Thanks for your comment. This is based on some experience by a fellow fan, he has fixed quite alot of G-Shock watches with the fogging issue. Upon applying the glue, the problem is solved. If moisture gets trapped into the case, thats most likely to be caused by worn-out/misplaced backcase gasket. New gasket with silicone applied would solve that issue.
