There's no way the LWRC's barrel is chrome lined. It's nitrided. And one of their selling points is that the spiral fluting is more rigid precisely because it is spiral-shaped. Just like rebar, which uses spiral reinforcement to negate its tendency to flex.

You don't have to add any external devices like Accuwedges to the LWRC. It comes with a set screw in the grip that adjusts the amount of play between the upper and lower. Sorry for the multiple comments, I'm watching this video over the course of days.
@murphslaw12762 ай бұрын
You’re good man. I had never heard that on the LWRC before. First person in either print or KZbin to have ever mentioned it.
@murphslaw12762 ай бұрын
Actually looked into this deeper. The tension screw is not a standard feature. It was on some of LWRCs products, but has been discontinued with some debate on when that occurred. Some rifles have an accuwedge factory installed and underneath it the threading for a tension screw. Mine has the polymer accuwedge which is apparently not enough on its own.
@f3uibeghardt5222 ай бұрын
@@murphslaw1276 Interesting. I have a M6A1, IC-A2 and IC-A5. All were bought new, but long ago in 2016 at the latest, and both ICs have the tension screw. Plus, my IC-A5 is Cerakoted, unlike yours. I've heard others say that the Cerakoted versions fit more tightly, which seems to match my experience. I did download the .pdf owner's manual (which should be current), and they talk about the set screw. If you say it's threaded still, you should be able to buy the nylon-tipped screw online easily. I think I recall the Accuwedge change now that you mention it. Rolling changes can either be a good thing or a bad thing. Like how my IC-A2 has an ambi selector, but both sides are the short ones, whereas the IC-A5 has the long one on the left side and the short one on the ejection port side.

as a former contractor the myth is that we do a lot of heavy round count the truth is that it's during range time or individual time but during an assignment this rarely happens at most if any the safety switch get more action than the trigger. My company does allow our own personalized firearm to be use but they do have a strict policy of certain firearms that are a no-go chiefly PSA, SA, Colt, S&W and no exotic manufacture like black rain ordinance etc. Our armory when it comes to the rifles is stock by two manufacturer and it is LWRC and Knights armament. What I conclude it that they prefer proven reliability and quality I cannot speak of Daniel Defense as hard as it might seems I have never held one. When I go to a gun store I usually finger fuck the mid tier brands like SA, Aero or IWI to me for a civilian use as a home defense or plinking anything more expensive is a diminishing return.

I agree all my DD barrels; longer than 12.5”; have been able to shoot submoa with Federal Gold, IMI Razor Core or Frontier BTHP 75-77gr ammo. With M193, my DD barrels are about 3moa. Too many variables but I will assume there’s an issue with the scope mounting - loose screws, too tight, issue with the scope itself or the scope mounted too close to the turret section. I’ve personally never seen an Ldub shoot less than 4moa with match ammo.

When I saw someone commented twice in a row on the same video I knew it was going to be cringe, and you didn’t disappoint. The funniest thing is I’ve shown these comments to everyone I know and they had the same reactions I did. From squinting at the comments trying to understand your run on sentence to processing what it was you were trying to convey, the look on everyone’s face was one of concentration, consternation, and then dismissive with some statements to your disposition. Couple of things. This video is comparing two top tier manufactures who build all or almost all of their parts in house. One continuous line of quality control and then a warranty to back it should something go wrong. I have built several rifles and plan to do more because I enjoy it. However, when I’ve run into QC issues with parts the manufacture did not provide assistance nor culpability for the issues in all cases. I am guessing you’ve also never heard of the term tolerance stacking nor do you seem to realize that many people build “just as good” rifles that are by no stretch of the imagination nor identifiable metric in any way as good or close to good as a rifle produced by well known and vetted companies such as those identified in this video. Having multiple individual parts does not increase the net quality control that went into the build it actually does the opposite since you introduced that many more points of failure. The purpose of this video is not to compare to home built guns, but that will be an upcoming subject for sure.

A built rifle is always going to be better than a top tier rifle on top of that what are you doing letting some other man change your oil change your girlfriend's tire be a man build your own crap The best quality control in the world is if all the control that you have control of letting or having some other man do it for you is girly and you shouldn't even be around a firearm if you can't do that yourself... But yes if you spend the same money building a rifle that you do on a top-tier rifle you're built rifle is going to be better so you'd have to be an idiot to go buy a pre-built rifle that's just gay
