I could see a use for Monster Girl's power; age up without using the power, transform, use the alternate form to acquire some resources to create a nest egg for both yourself and some sort of partner who can pretend to be a parent, revert in age, create new identities for your "parent" and new younger self, repeat the cycle getting a new partner each rotation. It's a supervillain lifestyle that becomes incredibly difficult as tech advances (like more surveillance and facial recognition and such), but still it could work for functional immortality for those who wanted it.

I actually made a DnD character who's half fire Genasi and half Eladrin, based on the theory that people have invisible stripes based on their parents's genes. She was only partially immune to fire and had burn scars in the shape of stripe on the parts of her body not immune.

Like, imagine a tiefling who has burns from HELLFIRE, because there is a REASON you need fire resistance to survive in the hells. They became an adventurer after escaping to the mortal plane.

Granted, if you need the hulk form for something it's VERY inconvenient, but if you see the ability as "doing a thing to grow younger", you'd never have to worry about dying from old age. Daredevil has a power similar to Superman. In an episode Smallville he developed superhearing after getting blinded in which he keeps after regaining his sight making that a strange coincidence. In a Man of Steal flashback he got his superhearing at random while in class. In conclusion you don’t need to be blind to have superhearing. Also Daredevil’s sick flips are tied to his training which others can do ei the Ninja Turtles or Batman

I think 'Explody Lad' is in the same boat as Cyclops and Rogue: Seeing as how nearly every known mutant can use their power without killing themselves, he must have some 'defect' that only lets him use his power once (and without some 'Anime' Upgrade like releasing Phoenix Level energy either). All of the above need to be 'cured' of the disadvantage of their power (Cyclops beams are Always On, as is rogues Copy Powers ability). I know that Status Quo is God, but they could at least cure Explody Lad, showing there is hope that Cyclops, Rogue, and others with such can be cured eventually.
