Try using gamakatsu single large eyed hooks instead of trebles. I know of plenty of friends that use them over trebles, even on small jerkbaits. Better hook-up ratio, less tangling and damage to fish
@maxfish47703 жыл бұрын
Can confirm. Hook set is nearly always in the hinge and they pick up less weed too.

Awesome vid as always man.just wondering if you know anybody that services the Komodo ss 364? Had it for a few months now and only used it about 4 times but when I’m casting it’s making a loud clicking noise but when I retrieve my lures it won’t do it and have no clue at all what it could be.

nice, how do you cast so well with a kastking baitcaster with such light lure and low test line? i thought youd need rather high end baitcasters for any bfs setup, and would expect the line dig into itself more, but youre casts seem great.

You would think with all the smaller or SMALL perch that the bigger perch would be schooled up under the smaller or mixed amongst them. 🐟🎣🇦🇺
@khailidemoor2 жыл бұрын
This probally sounds a bit weird but try not to set the hook too hard. The fish will go up for the lure and down again and that is when they hook them self. If you set the hook when it is still up in the water you will throw the lure out of their mouth.

As troublesome as pike to nail with topwater lures. For the duck weed, I saw somebody have a bit of success with perch using a frog with the 'legs' cut of.

@@pikeandperch The hookup rate wasn't good, but at least he wasn't dragging dusk weed out and snagging lilies.
