It’s Torchwood’s version of fight club and Owen is right in the middle of it. Definitely an episode that makes the heart break for Gwen & Owen.

This show does a great job towing the line with Rhys. Like yes, he gets very aggressive with Gwen, but seeing everything he's been put through, it's hard to deny that it's a reasonable emotional reaction.

I like the fact that they show the continued impact of the previous episode on Owen, rather than just hitting the magical reset button.

Was never a fan of Gwen from the start, but this episode just totally turned me off from the character. She's supposed to be the heart and she is just awful and self centered.

Yeah, Gwen is complicated. She is human and has flaws, but you want to root for her.

I like that the characters are all flawed and human, but wow is Gwen selfish. It was bad enough that she was cheating on Rhys, who put up with a lot of garbage from her, but to tell him that she "needed him to forgive her" would have been a bridge too far for me. At least she was honest that her confession was all about her own guilt. That's generally what confessing about cheating is. It's not wanting to "come clean" and "be honest." It's not an act of kindness or love. It's about someone wanting to transfer all the guilty feelings they have onto the other person who did nothing wrong and make both of them feel like it was the other person's fault. She doesn't apologize. She just tells him she slept with someone else and then demands forgiveness from him, basically saying that if she doesn't get forgiveness, he's instantly the bad guy. I've seen these situations in reverse and usually it doesn't work out so well. The show does a good job of playing with your expectations. I really liked Gwen until this point. I could even forgive her having one quick fling with Owen, realizing how good she has it with Rhys and cutting it off. But she doesn't. Then she blames him and demands forgiveness. Wow. That's next level.

What Gwen did to Rhys, drugging him, telling him all her ugly secrets and then insisting that he forgive her... makes me so angry every time. It's so over the line, it's not even a line anymore. I am not on her side on this one, absolutely not.

This episode was written by Noel Clarke, who plays Mickey Smith in Doctor Who. I think it was his first writing commission for TV/film but he went on to write/produce several highly commended films and TV series.

I'm so torn on Rhys. On the one hand, I get the frustration. HOWEVER, you never EVER speak the way he did to your partner, even when frustrated. He had the right to be angry, but Gwen had every right to walk away and never speak to him again the moment he screamed at her to sit the f*** down.

The text message Gwen found is recognisably a local postcode (zip code) for anyone in the UK. Our postcodes are very specific to a small area (like one residential street or one large building).

I am so invested in your reactions to this series. What a difference from the start of the season. You have kinda done a 180 in your opinion of Owen now that you can see his flaws and have maybe accepted him? You certainly are showing that empathy for the characters and their lives that the cast have done such an amazing job at portraying. Looking forward to the next episode!

Gwen has reached her lowest lows, she's pathetic and got overwhelmed by her Torchwood life, but now she can only get back up if she moves her ass, I love it :) Eve Myles performance is so good, so real
