Hi Dani! Thanks for the delightful reaction to Tori. You can see why I’ve become slightly obsessed. Wait til you see her channel more. It’s not just Karen, though you will see she is her #1. Her Olivia is mind blowing, I mean Karen’s lows and Olivia’s highs?? How? I know Karen can go lower, Contralto vs. Tori’s Alto but Olivia? Check Never Been Mellow! There are a bunch of Short videos. So like a sampler buffet. There are currently 5 full length professionally recorded audio tracks. This self-produced video is her only full length video currently. But, it’s a talent showcase. She did everything except the music backing track. If you pay close attention you can hear “Richard” in the harmonies and she does it right to the camera in “Walk On By.” Low is RC, high is KC and harmonies. It took me a good number of viewings to realize that, as in the Sullivan show RC was off camera a lot. I mean you have Karen goin’ nuts keep the camera on HER. LOL. She’s mostly based on TT but has I G and Fb too. Sometimes a video is in one and not the other which is frustrating. She did 2 videos showing how she does the harmonies. One on KZbin, shows We’ve Only Just Begun, one on Fb shows Close To You. If I spell out the other site names you won’t see this. She does have a few new songs not doing Karen, more her voice. But she’s naturally close so 🤷🏻‍♂️. Here Merry Christmas, Darling is full on homage. Every time this past season I listened to someone covering it, I said nope, take a look at Tori. (Only in my head I’m not that rude). Lastly she does wicked Beatles covers and sounds nothing like John nor Paul, LOL. Check out the Shorts of Now & Then and Because (Psychedelic Tori). Tori has a pleasant voice, but she is not close to Karen at all. Also, I noticed how you were commenting on one of Carpenters Legacy's KZbin channel video's about how great Tori is. That's rather rude to do that, especially since Carpenters Legacy is an award-winning show with a full time residency on The Las Vegas Strip. Honestly, Sally Olson (the star of the show) is the closest thing to Karen in both sigh and sound, not to mention that she plays the drums and has all of Karen's mannerisms. It's uncanny.

Jim created that version using Tori’s original creation 5 months later. Then they did We’ve Only Just Begun. That was a stalled project Jim had started 4 years earlier. The woman who was going to sing lead and had previously worked with Jim, passed away unexpectedly. Years later, KZbin showed him a Tori video. Magic happened. The next one is Close To being ready, Jim said … soon. Joe

Hi Dani: I've listened to Tori before and think she is one talented young singer. But what really brings her talent out is something a lot of today's talent is in dire need of: Material. Good quality songs. Memorable music. Bacharach and David were music machines, cranking out hit after hit not only for debut singers, but also cover singers a bit later. Same with Paul Williams. There is an older gal (they're all kids to me) named Chloe who also does a nice quality cover of Carpenters hits. Check her out too!

Funny you mention Paul. Under Tori’s cover of “Rainy Days and Mondays” on the gram there is a detailed comment from paulielama2. He sang her praises and now follows her. Tori’s “Christmas Again” song was given to her by a writing team after hearing one of her Carpenters covers, which a friend sent to them. Steve Eaton one of the two composers, wrote “All You Get From Love Is A Love Song” Carpenters last Top 40 hit. Her most recent Georgia On My Mind, was a new arrangement by and produced by Chris May. Chris is co-author of Carpenters; The Musical Legacy. Written with Mike Cidoni Lennox and Richard Carpenter. Yes, material is important. Tori is also one of a few invited singers to The Carpenters 55th Anniversary Celebration in Downey, CA in April and I have my ticket.

Tori is good and has a nice voice, but also check out the English singer, Harriet. Her facial features and voice are so amazingly similar to Karen's, yet she sings her own songs as well as covers.Such a sweet person as well and amazed that she is gaining so many fans.

Did I mention search Tori Holub Merry Christmas Darling This was the Medley. Try the above. She says she does not sound like Karen. She is though a respectful super-fan of Carpenters. She visited Karen’s Mausoleum to pay her respects. She is keeping the memories alive. She sings much more than Carpenters but Karen is her hero. Edit: Also, on her eye geee channel, her Short acoustic cover of Rainy Days and Mondays drew a comment from user paulielama2. I value his opinion more than yours, FYI. He said words like “beautiful, soulful, effortless and that he loved her voice.” Needless to say they followed each other and she pinned the comment.
