The wall definitely changes the game and gives a better connection. I was feeling relaxed with a better posture at the end. Thank you for this wonderful moment. Next time I'll have to find a wall which is not behind my screen, and a mat that doesn't slip when my feet push the wall 😊

Side plank using the wall is very helpful. I have difficulty with this move, and using the wall made me aware of where the weight needed to be distributed and provided a feeling of support.

This was G-R-E-A-T! The fav portion for me was the quick meditation at the end. I’m gonna feel the work tomorrow I know but the meditation neatly wrapped the session up helping you take stock in what your body flowed through…. Makes you want more!

loved it! I liked one of the last exercise facing the wall, I could really feel a powerful stretch as I wa putting all the weight on the balls of the feet, subtle iinstructions from Beth that make all the difference

I love wall pilates sessions although often that means being inventive with the “wall” - today a sturdy cupboard! I often forget to keep pushing my feet against the wall so the timely reminders are very helpful!

Some of the exercises are challenging. And as I just heard another teacher say, beginner doesn't mean easy. And yet there are additional beginner level classes on the channel and specific programs within the membership as well that you may enjoy prior to moving with this series.

TBH, my favorite part was laying on the mat and you turned your body away from the camera. I always find it difficult to get proper positioning w/ a forward view. The back side showed proper foot/ heel placement on the wall. The change in camera perspective was Uber helpful. Thank you.

Hi I am new to your channel and a beginner at pilates and I am going to do your 7 days pilates playlist this week! Loved the video and you explain really well, good to follow. The only thing Im kind of missing (just to confirm I am doing it right) is which part of the body Im suppose to feel a little bit of tension during an exercise but maybe I just need to sign up if I want to know more 😅

Thanks, Beth! That was great. Seems easy while watching, but so good while doing following your instructions and position hints. It is always appreciated...just to correct and improve your posture😉. Before I was taught that each move to be 10 times....may be not always😶 For this session I will use phone rather than TV...not easy to find free wall in a living room😅......not to turn around😄😄😄. Yes, 10 reps for each movement isn't a rule, especially with Pilates. Many times we'll do less because we'll focus on the same area of the body with a different exercise. I hope you enjoy the class!

I am completely new to this. The reminders to push feet into wall were great. I could use more reminders on how and when to breathe (in or out on which movements). Again just because I am new and have heard breathing technique goes a long way when looking for results. Thanks so much for offering these. Looking forward to trying Day 2 tomorrow. :)

Glad you enjoyed it! Since you're new, give syncing breathing to the exercises time. The more you move with Pilates the more in tune with breath/body you'll get. You can also check out the prep class which focuses on deep breathing. You can access that here. trifectapilates.com/move

Hi there Beth I am sorry but I didn’t enjoy this class much but it’s not because of you! You were absolutely brilliant as usual it’s me! I’ve come to realise I’m not a wall Pilates person. I find it hard to follow along this type of class and constantly have the feeling I’m doing it wrong. Looking forward to day 2 which I hope I’ll enjoy more! thank you for your hard work and for being such an amazing teacher.

That is no problem and you're not alone. Wall Workouts aren't everyone's cup of tea. You can also try a lot of these exercises using a chair in place of the wall, or just skip wall classes all together.

If you're using a phone you can move it throughout the class if needed. I tend to have my phone or ipad next to the mat at my waist, or towards one end of the mat. And I only look at it if I need a visual representation of the exercise, so I'm not looking at it the entire time.
