I think home tours of small homes are the most interesting ones. To see how the space is being used, to make it as functional as possible.

Agreed. More relatable to for me in my tiny London flat unlike those big Dallas or Jersey Mcmansions

And smaller homes are coziest! Who needs an office, a library..a living room..a rec room, etc..

Me too!! 100 per cent. We all know what we'd do with a limitless budget in a sprawling apartment, but how to you live in a tiny space? Good on them.

I think this is the best New York appartment tour I have seen - the calm, curated interiors; the use of texture; the custom furniture; the thoughtfulness in planning for work and extended family; the artistry; and the complete lack of pretense in all of it. Lovely space where everything breathes in spite of the limited size. And gorgeous little girls. Thank you.

my parents told my us children we were getting ready to branch out on our own after college it don’t matter how big the place is what you do with it and and keep a roof over your head, some people have 20 real mansions. I watch a home tour and they are not happy at all. Don’t use the kitchen. Don’t live in it. It’s just for show that does not make a home🤦🏾♀️ happy holidays

They did a beautiful job, but I just don't understand one thing? Why change out the kitchen appliances, the cabinets, the doors and the closet shelving, but just cover up the ceiling light fixers? I'm genuinely not being critical, just curious. Maybe they really do swap them around a lot like they said they 're designed to be? :)
@katherineburtt2502Күн бұрын
It sounded like a sponsored/gifted product to me, and it’s one of the only things in the description with a link. They were advertising the features in general, not why they needed them specifically.
@Lexshena4Күн бұрын
@katherineburtt2502 Oh, I see! I didn't look in the description, but that would make sense. I also can't help but wonder if they rent or own their apartment? And if they have to store the doors they replaced under their beds or if the landlord took them? Haha As a tenant myself, I'm just full of questions! :)
@snoufoxxyСағат бұрын

I really don't get it why a young family, educated and having career options would live in NYC... What does it give you? The apartment is nice and well organized space-wise but it's tiny for a family of 4. Imagine how you can live in another big city with the same amount of money.... NY is for the richest and the poorest of them people, not for the middle class folks.

Name another city in the US where you don't need to own a car to get where you need to go. Name another city in the US where you can work in a creative field and actually get paid. Name another city in the US where you can drop your laundry off at the wash & fold. Name another city in the US where the closest grocery store to your home is a 5 minute walk.

If I’m honest it’s not great but they’ve done the best with it that they can in that situation. They do need to think about moving though.
