The World of Interiors presents Visitors’ Book with Javier Ramírez Vázquez, son of renowned architect, Pedro Ramírez Vázquez. Javier welcomes us into his mid-century family home in Mexico City, a Modernist masterpiece designed and furnished by his father.
As Javier delves into the deep archives of the Mexico 1968 Olympics, of which his father was the President of the organising committee, he opens up on what it means to inherit such a captivating property. “I can feel them. It’s their space - they built it, they lived here. The objects… everything brings memories, histories. They are sons of Mexico and their family are part of its history including pre-Hispanic. The largest collection of the most important and significant pieces of pre-Hispanic (from Mayan, Zapotec, Teotihuacán to Aztec) art and artefacts are already in the National Museum of Anthorpology. Stop spreading groundless accusations.
