The problem is that many people pay that and it's a trap and what happens is that it puts a kitchen in the cupboard space that you can't even move around in, obviously there won't be any natural light because it's London, there probably won't be much ventilation and the bills aside, and the council tax, plus other extra payments make it even more surreal.

It’s a catch. The flat will be cheaper to buy but the ground rent and leasehold charges will be astronomical. Biggest con I’d say when estate agents won’t advertise the hidden costs but will only highlight the sale price and the central London location to woo buyers until they realise I can’t afford this but it’s too late when you sign on the dotted line and you can’t sell it either because you later realise it’s too expensive to pay a solicitor to extend the lease. When it comes to leasehold properties serious reform is needed in this country because management companies and their freeholders are fleecing leaseholders and getting away with it.

People would often have a small apartment in town for work and then head out to the main family house further out of London on the weekend. This looks fine if you just want a work crash pad in central London.

The entrance looks like one of those British movies was filmed. The one that starts off in some French war and an adopted son ends up with his real blood relatives. Cannot remember the name of the movie. But great movie. Unbelievable movie. There was a scene also in Hyde park.

This looks like a great investment opportunity. I'd do a smart refurb then Airbnb it or rent it out to city workers.

£300,000 Take your average London salary, take the average rent needed out, take the taxes out, take the extortionate train fares out. It would probably take the average person a good 5 years to afford the deposits on this.
