If you paid some profits, I would take the time to show you some of these things. Unfortunately a lot of "new truck customers" come in with an entitled attitude, they want you to do jumping jacks and cart wheels and roll the red carpet out for them... they think the dealer shouldn't make any profit on them, that you'll just make it up on the next guy.

Not after watching this video. I put on key in, turned it on (not start engine). Turned it off and put the OTHER key in. Turned it on and there was the factory door code. NICE!!! Thanks, man.

If every sales person was as knowledgeable about what the hell they are selling, as this guy, you'd probably sell a hell of a lot more cars. Extended range by the fob/under/chin method works by using the body as an antenna amplifier. The human body absorbs some RF frequencies and 'channels' them which is the basic principle of how touch-buttons work. By putting the remote near/touching a body part, it amplifies the frequency of the signal.

There are so many occasions I get out and close the door when I've got a quick job to do while leaving it running. Like opening a gate or removing something in front of my truck. If it's cold, hot or there are mosquitos I want the door closed. Especially when I remote start I have the keys in a pocket when I get in. It's not natural to me to leave keys in cupholder I want them on my person. It is very annoying feature to nanny the driver without at least and option to disable. I mean. It's not a secret key compartment. It's in the owner's manual. Every vehicle with keyless entry has a slot for a key which is closest to the receiver of the transponder. When you put the transponder close enough to the receiver itle pick up the chip and start your vehicle. Basically like an old key with the chip inside

just traded my 2005 fx4 in for 2019 Lariat. Thanks for the tips. Question, is there a shift interlock switch hidden somewhere. Mine went out in the 2005 and if not for youtube I may have been stranded.

I found it...the little slot/tray to the right of the shifter. Pull it out and then there is a little access panel.

Great Video, but it's a crying shame that Ford no longer builds a reasonably priced, plain jane work truck... I'm talking all vinyl seats and floor mats, manual windows, a simple key operated door lock and ignition system, a/c( I live in the south, this isn't a luxury it's required for survival), Steel wheels, power steering(old school not electric), No Radio, and most importantly a MANUAL Transmission!

You would have realized you had that option, if you had read the owner's manual. It explains how to select the sensor type, and how to set it to default in the driver's dash display menu.

Thank you!!!! I turn off my F-150 and didn’t quite understand the perimeter sensing. This is perfect! I had a BMW and my husky was CONSTANTLY setting off the alarm moving inside. I just had to leave it unlocked. Now I can have him with me and not worry about this. (And no, he’s not left in the car long or in the heat. Just quick trips to places he isn’t allowed inside.

Not sure if its new on the 2021 or not, but the lockable under-seat lay-flat storage is absolute GOLD. I'm going to try like hell to hold out for a 6.5 bed hybrid XLT or Lariat...that 7.2kw has me drooling.

Just got my second 3.5 EcoBoost F150, after the first tank of dealership gas was empty, in went 93, what a difference! I ran 91 or higher in my last EB and it’s night and day, and it’s well worth a couple bucks per tank to quietly outrun just about every other truck on the road! I had 2 5.0’s before going EcoBoost, and the ONLY thing I miss, is the sound...that’s it!

Second question when you program the key for the seat positions on the sam key you set option 1 and 2. The question when i unlock the door which opition it will give me the setup for 1 or 2 and how can i swap between them befor i jump inside the car or reach the door if i start the car be remote?

Haha I've know about the key under your chin for a few years now. The sound waves from the key fob use your skull as an echo chamber.

Close. They uses radio waves, not sound. Your head is mostly water, which is more all around conductive than air. You essentially act as an antenna for your key.
