Love watching Uncle’s reviews. Felix, l’m from PH too and l got the Corolla Cross hybrid last month. Fantastic crossover, you’ll love the comfort, quiet and convenience, and Toyota’s hybrid system is amazing. The engine shuts off automatically in traffic and works with the motor when you need it for added power. The hybrid battery charges in three ways, when you let go of the accelerator, when you brake, and when the internal combustion engine runs (most of the time the Cross is in EV mode). I got 34.4km/liter from Mandaluyong to Nuvali. You won’t regret getting this vehicle.

Definitely the TNGA platform, it's comparable to BMW and Mazda, and mayb even better in some aspects.

This chassis also the same chassis that used in lexus ux. So it is definitely better because of the lexus like ride and handling.

The X50 has more power, so it would be more demanding on the Chassis. The Cross is a bigger vehicle, with a longer wheelbase, so would be less twitchy, but perhaps not as agile. The X50 does under steer a bit more, but that could be due to the additional torque at the front wheels. The Cross is less powerful, but relatively easier to drive.

The HRV is a B segment versus C Cross in C segment. So if you can afford the higher price you get a bigger vehicle. If you buy the HRV, it is quite a bit more affordable, so it depends on what you can afford to spend. If you gave budget issues, then the HRV becomes a better buy.

If you can afford the extra money, the CX30 is more premium, and is more powerful, as a 2.0 vs this 1.8, and has a 6-speed vs the cvt. However the cvt is likely to be more economical on fuel but the 6 speed is probably more fun on the winding roads. The Corolla is a sedan, and would be the most comfortable, and would be the best in handling, but would lack the heightened view.

I is a little higher, but yes, the handling is quite good, because they shortened the wheelbase by 60mm to maintain the handling. As for comfort, the Altis would be a little better.
