Steve - your videos are GREAT! Thank you! I have a 2021 Sienna and my Apple CarPlay rings SOOO loudly - doesn’t matter what volume my iPhone is set at - the notification sounds (text, incoming phone call, etc) are SOOOOO loud - can you do a simple video and show us all how to adjust this, so it sticks and that the beeps and rings don’t rattle my teeth, each time my phone goes off? Thanks a bunch! :-)

2017 Tacoma TRD : How do I turn OFF the night mode on the Navigation screen?? Page 40 says go to setup for General, camera, and day/night mode. day/night mode option does NOT display ? I also tried turning the lights on which the manual say should make that option available, no luck. I need to see the map clearly at night when near lake ponds etc in the woods thank you Jim

Steve.... great videos/info..... I just purchased a 2021 4Runner Premium ..... how do you turn off the nav system? After entering a destination and following it for awhile after I can actually see where I am going I would like to shut it off, how do I do this? When at a red light I go to the menu and delete everything that is in the memory but it still is active.. .... .....

Easiest way is to hit the voice recognition button on the steering wheel and say cancel navigation

Do you know what navigation Toyota uses? I decided to try it out the other day to a local point, my bank. Basically a straight shot down main road. Bank is on left with a turning lane. But the nav system was directing me to take right turn and go around the block. Bizarre. At end of this month I’m taking a 3 hr drive down to Seattle and now have no confidence in the nav. since it blew a simple direction to local bank not even a Km away!

I have a ‘21 Highlander Hybrid Platinum. The nav system merely dims but remains white and is very distracting at night. I can only turn it off. Is there any way to get it to change to a dark or black background at night as in other GPS systems?

Steve, I'm looking to get a 2022 Camry Hybrid XSE or Rav4 Hybrid XSE, and have dynamic navigation on either one I choose. Overall, how would you rate the smoothness, reliability and ease of use on the brand new dynamic nav systems??? Fyi, I would plan to get the upgraded jbl audio system, as well....would love your thoughts on that, as well. Thank you, Sir!

Dynamic navigation is cloud based for the updates. The other has a map card to buy for updates. Dynamic uses the cloud for updates to weather traffic and new roads

I’ve started to use my 2022 Toyota RV4 Hybrid satellite navigation. In 2 detailed intersection high lighted screens I get the red arrows pointed in a normal way as in direction I am going, but as soon as I am hitting rural roads the screens goes to one large map and arrow reverses. Kinda weird and it’s kinda weird. Within big map going rural a tiny screen or icon top left corner has arrow correct. How do I turn the rural main map around 180 degrees, lol. NZ

Hi Steve how do you change the name on the saved address to read differently. Example car maps read 123 Springfield, NY and I want to save it to say Central Park. Thank for any help provided.

If you have it saved under a contact and import it that way it will name it correctly.

You go into Setup, then Navigation. From there, you can edit the saved address to whatever you want. Took me a little bit to figure that out.

How do I even get navigation to pull up when i press the Map button? Mine says to go to the toyota websitr for compatible apps so I did, but I have no clue what I am looking for. my 2021 HL navigation is the sh!T! I went from NYC to philly...and I know it's exit 4 to get to the destination but from exit 12 and down, it will tell me to take all the exit. BS! This goes same when I'm going from NYC to Atlantic City. Fed up w/ this piece of trash. I just bought a samsung a7 tablet and put it in front of that crap and I'm better off with the tablet.

My navigation is all messed up. Route guidance doesn’t work. I set a destination and then it won’t give me voice guidance or anything. It just says head to the highlighted route even though I’m on the correct route. Then sometimes it’ll show I’m way off to the left or right of the road. Any advice? I have a 2021 Tacoma TRD off-road and I have the dynamic navigation subscription
