After the dealership adds it's (adjustments) the real price will probably be double or more , and pickup used to be a bit above the price of a regular car , but today most pickup are more expensive than a Mercedes , to all car makers make a cheap under $20,000 car or pickup for north america and forget about all the electronic toys like infotainment , give us the cars you sell in the third world at a cheap price and if I want to add any electronic toys I will have them added later if I have money to burn but stop pricing those cars out of the range of the average consumer.

Keyword, "Rumor" No car company with their greed will sell a compact truck for under $30k. Even the Maverick prices have been creeping up annually and the stealerships with all their hidden fees and upsells add 10K to most sales.
