TPS provides update on dismembered human remains found on Toronto beach

Toronto police are trying to identify a number of dismembered body parts discovered on a downtown beach last year.
At a news conference on Tuesday, investigators said two human thighs were found on Oct. 9 at Cherry Beach in the city's Port Lands area. Weeks later, on Oct. 30, a human torso was discovered in the water during a patrol by Toronto police’s marine unit.

The lack of respect in Toronto along with the small amount of protection that has been provided regarding the citizens safety is totally obsurd. I know from exsperience unfortunately. Sadly I had to loose my 23 old daughter to realize just how ridiculous and unprofesionaly they conduct their investigations. Something needs to desperately be done. My poor daughter was found burnt in a park down there in Toronto and they had enough ignorance to label this as a suicide😢.I can't believe there are no cameras up in parks or security guards in these areas where such horrific crimes are being committed. Over and over again. How many more innocent victims do we have to loose to there being no justice let alone protection concerning our children moving down there for college. If there had been even cameras in all of these known areas where crimes have or could occur we could have captured these son of bitches possibly before they commit their next. A serial killer was operating for over 5 years there before he was caught despite several brushes for violent behavior. A group of them raped a traffic enforcement colleague and are still on the payroll despite one now before the courts for beating his spouse and another spending his spare time with prostitutes and in strip clubs. Another group got high on confiscated cannabis on the job resulting in multiple injuries and one having to be talked down from a tree. A hapless citizen a had to fight off an armed assailant himself while two of Toronto's finest ran and cowered behind a car. All are still employed..... These people don't even respond to traffic accidents yet their solve rate for crimes across the board is lower than 30 percent. They have more criminals among them than the general population simply because they protect them.

The superintendent said it was intentionally chopped up. The lead detective then says it’s not being considered a homicide yet. Pretty rare for someone to chop up and dispose of somebody who they have not murdered and disposed of in an attempt to avoid being caught. It’s extremely rare that someone kills themselves and chop THEMselves up at the same time. Why do I feel like this beautiful detective is an equity hire😂😂

Actually it took probably a few days to identify that information when the autopsies were performed. You do realize that there is 100s of cases being investigated at one time? It’s how it works. DNA can tell you someone's ethnicity, why just a description of the skin color? Technically, DNA (if you do hard core forensics) can tell you the persons eye color. The body fat in the torso can give you an estimate in his body weight, hence, thin, med, fat, obese. You missed three important descriptions.

Sometimes it's better not to put too much information out, it's narrows the responses. What if that person had lost tons of weight recently? Wore colored contacts? Dyed their hair ect. You aren't a homicide detective, don't pretend or assume, just accept that things are released in a measured capacity.

Only 12% of women dye their hair, and my guess would be very few 25 yr old males. He may not be a homicide detective, but you sure could be a homicide suspect.

Extremely basic example (because at this point it seems necessary): - Police release dead guys presumed eye colour, hair colour, build based off genetic profile. Dead guy has brown eyes/hair genetically, but wears blue contacts, and dyes his hair blonde. People in his life know him to have blue eyes/blonde hair so they don't call in a tip. Of course Police CAN get that information, and likely do have it, but releasing it narrows the scope of potential tips. They'd rather syphon through thousands of tips and decide for themselves who matches, vs. the public making judgement calls based off descriptors that someone can alter about themselves. Because DNA analysis and the investigation isn't instant. It takes months to get DNA results back and even more time to investigate. When the police approaches the public, in this context, it's as a 'last resort', NOT a first resort.

I worked in a medical lab, were the Pathologist determined the paternity of the baby/child, through DNA analysis. Part of my job, As Client Liaison, was to report back to the person, as to when their results was ready. IT DOES, in fact, take two to four week, sometimes a month or two, for results to ready, sometimes longer, depending if the lab is backlogged. It's first come fist serve, and we had to test 30 to 50 samples per day, regardless of any urgency that may be a factor. ALSO, even after results are in, there is more work to be done by Police, in this context. Often, Police will not update the public, and withhold information for a while because they themselves, have to wait to get a hold of a key person in the case which sometimes take days, weeks, or months. Things aren't as instant as your delusional mind is making it out to be. So, yes, it is EXACLTY as I initially stated it is. You don't just get to pull made up baseless claims, out of thin are, and peddle them off as facts so you can go on an irate taxpayer rant. I have inside knowledge of how things DNA testing works as I've worked in a DNA testing lab and have a legal academic post-secondary educational background. Smh.

Yes her words are accurate. They cant assume its a homicide yet. Ie. Stranger things have occurred. The rep is well spoken and knowledgeable. Not all minority are dei hires.
