The only continuity error is supposedly the Cairo was destroyed in episode of DS9 it was mentioned that it was on patrol along the Cardassian border and disappeared presumed destroyed and by this time Jericho wasn't in command because the captain was a woman who was friend of Jadzia Dax "in the pale moonlight" i believe was the episode

I love this mission with the jumping to the background of an Enterprise episode and the Breen Attack on Earth from DS9. There is kind of a thrill to be playing part of an event/episode bit "just off camera" from the main action that I kind of like.

The Vorgon ship was the grand prize during Risa Summer Event a couple years back, if a Dyson (regular) shield cosmetic is applied to it the ship will become marble with gold filigree. This is also true for any Vorgon ship.

If you want to get more cinematic shots of sto ships and whatnot, i recommend experimenting with demorecord. Its a built in feature that lets you playback a recording of any gameplay you do while having free reign over the camera (i use it for screenshots personally)

starfleet spec ops have been around for longer than starfleet has they were formed out of the M.A.C.O Officers after starfleet was formed and the top teams are still called MACO Units this also led to other special formations of units throughout starfleet that were used when needed for missions normal crews could not handle

@@mikaelmadrigal196 if you want to look it up yourself its pretty in depth and alot of it is changed through out the yrs and sites but the basics are the same the whole STO game is using huge amounts of lore from all places and adding new lore to expand the universe beyond the shows from how its going i think they are going up until the events of the burn in dis season 3 as that is so far in the future no stories are set in that time yet

Daniels and the Envoy got a Dorian Gray thing going on or something? I was on vacation last week, so I played through these missions already, as well as "Future Proof". For once, I'm well ahead of Ric's playtrough. But I remember thinking that at the time. The Envoy seemed to get less scar-ey in this one, while Daniels got worse. The news reports of the Breen attack seem more detailed than I remember. In fact, I think a couple of them repeated. So either the console version is missing some text, or I simply forgot. Also, I remember seeing a different collection of artifacts near the end when looking for the Tox Utat. They might have a variety of choices that are randomly selected, or, again, I could be just remembering wrong. I was half expecting to find a "Raiders of the Lost Arc" reference among all those crates, but apparently it either didn't occur to the devs, or they didn't think it would fit. I don't know whether to be disappointed, or to admire their restraint.

If I recall correctly, a couple of the news reports do show on multiple terminals (one did in thie play-through or Rick's). And the artifacts you get are a random set of out of the full list each time you run the mission...there's the accolade for seeing all of them (requiring replays of the mission, *and* RNG luck to not keep getting ones you've already seen). I think there *is* a Raiders ref in the list, but again, it only comes up by random selection.

@@VulpisFoxfire Yeah, the artifacts being selected from a pool makes sense. The news reports do show up on multiple consoles, 3 or 4 of them, as they do in Rics. But in my playthrough, I seem to remember 2 or 3 of them saying the same thing. Ric seemed to get a different one each time. He's been known to replay the mission a few times if he needs footage, so maybe the news reports are selected randomly from a pool as well, and he replayed to get a couple more. The artifacts are cool and all, but mostly fan service. The news reports, well, that's background lore. Now we know the Enterprise along with the Cairo lead the counter attack that repelled the Breen.

With regard to anyone on earth spotting the Odyssey Class or your uniforms? I mean at this point they know what a Sovereign Class looks like, so either they just think you’re a Sovereign or they recognize that Starfleet related temporal fuckery from the near future is occurring, and entrust a formal letter of reprimand and Court Martial to Starfleet Legal Services to be dropped on you and their older selves when you get back. I’m sure by the point of the Dominion War a Starfleet Legal has whole libraries of laws and guides on how to deal with temporal idiocy in a way that eventually catches up with the temporal idiots and leaves a lasting mark. Last I heard Starfleet Legal began hiring Ferengi Lawyers!

It's so satisfying to use Heisenberg amplifier on that Vorgon dreadnought and see its harasser probes destroyed by its own mothership. Later use Channeled deconstruction and entropic redistribution to crush it like an eggshell. Then, it comes back like... bitch, I've already destroyed you. How dare you are still alive?

the story arc he is playing through are to do with the war Daniels mentions to archer in enterprize it was caused when a rogue faction disrupted the meeting to set up the Accords to govern the rules of time travel the groups that were against it attack the meeting and start to cause issues with pre set history the missions in the game are the newly formed corps attempts to stop or insure thing that are ment to happen do so they way they were ment to this can also be seen in the games story line where you star in the original series era in that the events of the timeline are altered by the envoy but due to the fact your ship and crew hold the line while the rest of the fleet fall back you are recruited by the temporal corp to help maintain the timelines

I had long written off STO as a dumb ship fighting game, but they really seem more capable than most at weaving together the disparate pieces of lore into something cohesive that respects the franchise, and the spirit of its ambitions. If CBS was on the ball, they'd be buying up the rights to STO's story and making a series out of it instead of running wild with, whatever they've been doing.
