It wasn’t a proper track gear, but still protective gear. I didn’t go faster than a speed limit on the road, due to a small track, so I guess is acceptable.

Congratulations on your first track day, Simon would be happy I'm sure. The track looked good with different possible layouts, I've never done a track day but did quite a few motocross practice days and they were a buzz, tiring but great fun

Great video reminded me of my race days back in the 80s and 90s everyone fighting for that racing line get your self some one piece leathers 🏍️🇬🇧

Awesome Di, you did great. I liked how you captured your buzzing excitement for the experience after the nerves. Very real. But you also caught just how friendly and approachable everyone in the paddock is, in between sessions. That's brilliant you showed this side of a track day because people feel awkward or intimidated too often. In reality there are lots of sound people around d to give support and tips and encouragement and help with everything that's going on... you just need to be brave enough to ask and get talking. That track looks lots of fun, tight and technical. Congrats on surviving and loving your trackday and not binning that gorgeous FTR on cold tyres. 🤘👏👏👏👏👏👏

You know The Teacher offered his help straight away in a future track days in Cyprus! You were right when you told me people are nice on the track day. I think it was even more important to show the atmosphere to encourage others to do a track day.

That Indian was lovely. Appeals to me like few new bikes do. Similar in form and function as my R9T. I was surprised you were allowed on the track without one piece leathers etc. Here in North America I think that is required plus I think at least some tracks require safety wiring of parts to bike. These requirements lead some people to have dedicated track bikes. I cannot afford all that and would love to ride my R9T on a track.

Really like the style and size of the FTR1200, as I am quite tall, many motorcycles in a similar style seem small and cramped to me. My preference is in the cafe racer / scrambler / cruiser range. This would be a perfect every day combination of all those aspects, while also having the individual specific motorcycles. Not top of my list as next purchase, but it is in the back of my mind. Not a fan of the TFT screens tough.

My laps wasn’t timed, but I could feel the improvement. Even with a very very careful riding (considering my gear, borrowed bike and no insurance).

There would be no point in me doing a track day, when I was younger I rode like an old man and now I am older I definitely ride like an old man (captain slow to my friends 🤷‍♂️🤭) 😂 great post and look forward to seeing the next 👍

You would not be allowed to do a track day here in jeans. It’s addicting so I’m sure it won’t be your last track day. Get formal training and a proper track suit. You’ll be safer and have more fun. Best to you always!
