This isn’t a hate comment because I actually really enjoy your videos but 1g per ib of bodyweight on it’s own is a lot of protein. Studies show the same results on 1.2g-1.6g of protein per kg of bodyweight. You don’t need as much protein as you think to gain muscle:)

True, but if u wana also be lean, a lot of Protein is filling and is safer to to gain muscle when you’re too lean

Was thinking this too, also if trying to lose fat it’s pretty impossible to reach 130g protein while being in a deficit, especially on a vegan diet.
@benclark4462
@benclark4462 Жыл бұрын
@@EleriOnline yeh the studies show more protein in general for cutting to reduce muscle loss. From what I’ve seen 2.2g per kg is fine for when you’re in a deficit. Getting 200/300g of protein a day on a plant based diet is not impossible but it takes dedication but is quite frankly overkill for most anyway

@@benclark4462 I aim for 1.6g per kilo of body weight so have about 80g myself, which I can get easily without too many supplements or powders.

Tempeh is also a vegan high protein food. There are tempehs out of soy, lupines, lentils, beans and tasty flavours. And tempeh is fermented, our gut bacterias love that!👌

Love your vids, just a heads-up about orange hair after bleaching-blue counteracts orange, not purple. Purple shampoo is good to neutralize harsh yellows, not orange. I've made the same booboo, found a Brad Mondo video, and he set me straight, been going great ever since. Good luck on your bleaching journey :)

Thankyou for your videos! I just recently got interested in more body building. I’ve always put the pressure on myself to have the physique with a non body builder mindset, but results in mind. I have always tried to build muscle to loose weight and never really thought I could enjoy the muscle as much as I feel like I will now. I’ve recently switched to a plant based diet again. I’ve only gone about two to four years of eating a pretty omnivores diet, so mostly always plant based in my adult life. I’m interested in how much protein vegans are taking, when I’m more interested in eating more beans maybe then taking so many supplements. Any advice on how much we need for maybe 2-3 hours of exercise per day?
@oliviasrituals
@oliviasrituals Жыл бұрын
Hey Kelsey! just from personal experience for me upping my protein has made a massive difference! Aim for soy products, lentils, and maybe meat replacements if you like them. Also 2-3 hours of exercise seems like a lot I think, do you think 1 to 1.5 hours could be enough?

From a newly qualified dietitian: -almond milk has negligible protein (it’s basically expensive water!) -make sure to have a variety of plant sources as most don’t have all essential amino acids but if you have a variety you will get them all -quinoa is a great complete source of amino acids -be careful of not meeting calorie requirements as plant based protein foods are often high in fibre (which will fill you up more) -plant based iron sources are less absorbable (non-haem) than animal products. Make sure to have a source of vitamin C with them, and avoid too much phytates and caffeine and calcium around it -snacks are a great way to add extra energy if you need to gain weight - especially athletes shouldn’t go 2-3 hours without eating something

Because women that start looking like men are taking steroids that help make up for the natural low testosterone in a woman, and those women are ultra low bodyfat which is highly unsustainable.

She has over the years - butt and chest are most obvious. And more recently, her back. Newbie gains are called newbie gains for a reason. Also, look at her family/genetics/build. She's not stocky... Her shoulders don't grow but mine are manly without much effort. Genetics.

The changes have been slow over the last few years, I am a natural small person so my body changes are noticeable when you compare progress photos or even old videos but are not dramatic unachievable gains. My back and legs are where most of my growth has been particularly this past year. My goals change all the time too ; over covid it was my goal to try and maintain my shape as much as possible with gyms being closed, now my goal is to grow 🙏🏻
