Thanks for taking us on a tractor trip. Unfortunately when I bought my tractor in 2021 there were very few tractors for sale, Covid lockdowns and all that crap was on. Fortunately I’m happy with the tractor I bought and even better I have just about paid it off.

The ergonomics of the New Holland and LS tractors with all the important stuff easy to reach up on the right hand side looks really good. Just need to be able to swivel the seat a few degrees for watching rear implements and they would be the gold standard👍🏼

Hey Brock, NH Boomer has the best loader for my farm, when its time to load or unload trailers, put up hay etc. the Kubota stays in the barn.

Interesting. I have the LS MT357. It's interesting to see you experience this tractor, as there are some subtle, maybe blurred differences. As you say, this is a New Holland model, of LS manufacture and lineage. Clearly, the loader is different, and this NH had an additional rear-view mirror inside the cab. My LS has the outside 3-pt control lever, draft control, and linked throttle -- all of which you found and remarked to be missing. It also has 3 rear remotes. I got mine during the Covid supply-chain time. They had tractors to deliver, but were short on tires. After some time to wait, mine arrived with R1 tires. The most notable difference floored me. My LS cost me $15,000 less than this NH.

I have enjoyed your tractor tour. I was thinking of changing my line up. Considered a skid steer until I got a quote on one. Prices In Canada are way higher than what you are saying. I did sell my B265O yesterday and purchased a L3560. It’s a big jump for me. Tractor is twice the size. I stayed with Kubota for the simple reason of dealer location and the insurance they offer. It’s a big sell point for me. I believe they all make good products but dealer location and customer service makes a big difference when buying. Thanks.

These comparison videos are great as I am hoping to by my first tractor in the near future. In my mind I'm thinking more towards the TYM an Kioti as I have dealers in close proximity to me. But I'm open to anything as long as I find the right deal. Thanks again an have a great day from VA.

The down side to the bucket being so far out front is the leverage the load has on the tractor. Notice the small dirt load would cause the rear wheels to come off the ground......LEVERAGE!!!

@lttl858

@@kendrury3713 You don't get it.....ballast and weights help and so does a rd. bale of hay on the back, but some of these loader buckets are way out in front of the tractor. It's simple physics.....Brock even noted in the video the difference in loader bucket locations. As a former crane operator, we used the example, when picking up a load is like dancing , you want your partner as close to you as possible.

I’ll preface this by saying I’ve always been a “cash” guy. That being said, please don’t discount inflation when considering whether to finance. I’m in the final stages of purchasing a tractor in the size range you’re considering. On a $60K deal, the cash saving I’m seeing is somewhere less than $5k on up to an 84 month note. I’m guessing my dollars that I’m paying payments with over the next 60, 72, or even 84 months will be worth far less than they are today. I’ll probably keep my cash invested, use someone else’s money, and pay over time. Heck, I’m currently getting 5.4% a money market account. Personally, I think the manufacturers should be offering better cash discounts in our current money environment.

This is a much better option with Ag equipment than it is vehicles - You're hit by the big insurance companies that want full collision when you lease it , if you own it flat out you can insure it for a lower cost if you choose. Pretty nice racket they've got set up between the banks, auto dealers, and insurance companies IMO.

Agreed but you just have to push harder. Just traded a WM 75 for a WM 95 with 21.9 option gpm. Got $7700 cash discount AND $7700 in product discount from dealer. Skinny deal for them but I’ll pay cash to save $7700 although 0% financing is attractive. The price delta didn’t save me money in the long run but it may for others.

I have looked at all of these tractors before purchasing a 4 series can JD. The new holland is an LS, but the loaders are different. The new holland loader sticks out further as you noted and thus lifts much higher than the LS. Check out the specs. You mentioned the new holland loader being made much stronger, i agree. I actually bent my JD 4720 loader slightly. As you will find out. Its hard to not purchase a TYM 574.

Hi Brock. On that Boomer turn the mid pto lever on and see if you can free spin the rear pto? On my LS I can not. When I engage the mid pto the rear pto stays engaged as well. One of my few complaints about my tractor.
@RockhillfarmYT
@RockhillfarmYT 7 ай бұрын
That is good information. I was making an assumption because on my John Deere, I can engage one or the other or neither and free spin them. One of the tractors I was on has a manual disengage so that you can spend the rear PTO. I thought it was the LS.

@@RockhillfarmYT I’m curious how that Boomer pto works. Mine is rear only or front and rear together. I have no way to disengage the rear. It really sucks to not be able to disengage it. To help with that I installed an over running pto clutch on the rear.

Brock, thank you for making this video series!!! This is very helpful as I am actively searching for my next tractor. I don't get what the computer controlled speed-control feature is supposed to do for you on the Boomer machine. What advantages does that give you?
@RockhillfarmYT
@RockhillfarmYT 7 ай бұрын
I was talking to someone about it today. it basically maintains your RPMs if you are mowing a field and you go through thicker grass or up a hill, which would bog down your engine, it will automatically compensate for that
