Tracy, Merry Christmas! Thank you for the work you do. I’ve watched you since I had my first daughter and just became a stay at home mom (6 years ago). You were the first person to show me that being a wife, mom and caretaker should be professionalized. You encouraged me and helped me through your many tips and pep-talk videos to stop whining and feeling sorry for myself (for the luxury of working and caring for my family) and start learning, studying and practicing to do and be better. Thank you for all you do.

Love your videos --at my age 59!--it’s still hard not to take hateful or snarky comments personally and I’m in a largely male dominated industry --it’s just good to hear a beautiful, sweet Tracy say we don’t have to absorb them and move on with our lives ❤

Just knocked out another 2022 goal before the end of the year 🙌 I was once called a perfectionist and “controlled and rigid”. The ironic thing was the person who called me this was constantly frazzled, putting out fires, dwelling on the past, stuck in the present and unable to complete anything. As a result, our plans would fall through a lot, or she would arrive very late, and I didn’t like it happening on my watch, so that’s where her snarky remarks came from. Her life was chaotic and her promises were insincere. Effort (and reliability) and self improvement is very attractive! Perfectionism is about thinking your this never-ending work in progress that always needs to be tweaked, corrected and fixed. It’s self abuse.

Tracy , thank you so much for this video. I’ve been watching you for quite a few years, I have three very young children and through your youtube videos, you have helped me SO much to be the mom I need to be at home. So many people ask me if I work and I think , if you only knew the things that I do in one day.. thank you so much for validating that being a mom is a job and you can do it well and be intentional about not being sloppy in that . I am considered a perfectionist even though I do not think that about myself, I also do believe that I am just doing my best and want to execute what I am doing well. I also feel like SO many people are sloppy and then say things like I am lucky this and that but I definitely put the work in and take the time to put effort into what i am doing and you have helped me execute that in this busy time of my life . i’m rambling, but thank you so much for these videos that you provide to us viewers for free ❤ and happy new year 🎉 i am off to watch your organize tomorrow today

I'm a house wife and I decided not to have children but I highly admire women who decide to stay at home and take care of their children and husbands and put a great effort on doing it right. Just like you mentioned I constantly get ask if I work, to my surprise I get this kind of comments mostly from other women which is really sad. I learned through the years to take pride of being an excellent housewife and my 16 years of marriage and a wonderful husband are my daily motivation to improve every day in every aspect of my life. You are doing a great job and I'm sure your children will be wonderful adults thanks to your time, care and love. God bless you and your family !

Thank you for articulating this so very well! We used to call what you’re addressing here as congruence. When you’re inner self reflects your outer self. So beautiful to say that one can put effort in to align and create a life that perfectly matches one’s best self. Never thought of it that way. It takes so much effort to not be sloppy but so very worth it. I needed to hear this! Thank you again!

Hi Tracy! The concept of separating effort and follow-through from outcomes is simple yet powerful. While I was listening to that part of your video yesterday, a headache-type situation at work popped into my head. It was as if you adjusted my lens so I could see effort and outcome separate from each other, and being able to see the effort helped me find genuine appreciation - quite the antidote to frustration! This framework will also help me work through some things in my personal life where I haven't been putting forth effort, because I was mistaking outcomes for effort. Thank you for all you do. You are an inspiration!

Thanks for the video Tracy, I share many of your habits, I work as a Fitness Trainer, health is super important to me personally and I try to inspire my clients to clean up their diets and lifestyle. I walk to my own drummer and I am aware of the criticism but I am not bothered by it, I enjoy having standards. Having said that, The ludicrous lockdowns here in California derailed my livelihood and the stress of it all caused a major autoimmune condition that I am still struggling with so...... I had to put the whip down. I still workout most days, my standards are still there, but a big component of loving ourselves is accepting that what used to work for me; according to my body, is not working now. Listening to your body IS loving yourself. I take a lot of supplements, eat super healthy, try to get enough sleep, ect. What I don't do anymore is beat myself up for not living up to my old schedule and routine. The mind body connection is real and adrenal burnout is real, as Americans we are all about doing, I now believe there is power in letting some things go and replacing them with better behaviors. I agree about the "Sloppy" epidemic, I would love a future video on your take on WHY this has become so pervasive, I have my hunches but it would be an interesting video topic! Happy New Year and thanks for all you do, it is much appreciated.

Thank you. While I read a lot of excuses, I could easily have wrote this as it relates to my life in so many ways. I love how you followed up excuses with empowerment and stepping into your power. It' easy to fall into the victim thinking and certainly many (including myself) can back it. But the question is does it serve us? Go back to the video on where I talked about control and what we have control of and what you don't. Where do you put your energy? I think another listen will go a long way. Good Luck and keep your eye on the empowering side and not the poor me side. You've got this! Great work!

I can relate. Beautifully written, accurately explained, with a side of warm tough-love. Hope your health improves. This is one of my favorite videos you’ve done Tracy! Thank you so much!!! I just got married this summer and I find that this topic of putting in the effort of good habits is what is going to make me the wife I want to be! Everyone says “happy wife, happy life” thinking that they have to make their wife happy in order to have a happy life! But I know that BEING a happy wife will give my husband a happy life! And he deserves that, and I want to do him good not harm all the days of my life! Also, if you have the chance to check out acupuncture, I highly recommend it! My mom has a basically incurable disease and has had amazing results from acupuncture! Just throwing that out there! I pray you progress and get better in your health issues! ❤️

Hi Tracy. This is a great video and the timing of it was perfect for me. I know there are areas of my life that are sloppy and can be improved and those will be a focus for 2023. I also need to stop buying my excuse of "it takes too much energy to do....." or "that's not my thing". Need to work on some self-coaching. Another focus for me will be tuning out the noise of the world. As a matter of fact, right before I watched your video I was on FB and saw a post that hit up against one of my 'sloppy' areas. I got very upset and started feeling very bad about myself. Mostly I think it was because it's a an area that I struggle with, but also because I was comparing myself. I want to grow into myself and not worry about other people! Thank you for your words. I am signed up for the the 3-week intense starting this week - can't wait!!

I'm heading into my second 3-week intense program. The first one was definitely a blow to my ego, which I honestly needed. It made me put aside my excuses (I was determined to do this!), and made me reevaluate my perfectionistic tendencies. When I wasn't able to complete the program requirements every single day in its entirety (although I was pretty close!), it made me realize just what I am capable of, because I am an adult, and I can do hard things! And it was hard, since I was one to say that with my career and mothering, that I just didn't have time. I made time, because I had to. I still can't believe that in three weeks I was able to change the entire projection of my day. I'm excited to see how I continue to grow coming up in January, and I'd be one of your first to sign up for a 12 month growth project.

I really liked this video. I'm sorry for whatever it is you're struggling with; I hope God and your family continue to help you through it. I was "always a very happy kid & lit up the room when I walked in". Hard times in life beat the happiness out of me and I've been working on getting that genuine smile back. Smiling should be felt from within, not a front to mask the pain. So, I've been working on getting my smile back :) One of my favorite scriptures in the Bible is from Psalm 118:24 "This is the day Jehovah has made; We will be joyful and rejoice in it." God truly wants us to take one day at a time. Past happened. Future unknown. But today, we live. I've lost a lot of friends in death recently and its really made me think about how I choose to live my days that I have left. I don't want to be known as a perfectionist. I want to be remembered as someone who cared and loved and proved it by my actions. So each new day is another chance to make God smile, to love our family, and to support our friends. Each new day is another chance to tell the Devil "Not today, Satan!" Or, as you put it once, "Get back in your seat, Gremlin! I'm driving this bus!" Sometimes, we need to tell others (and ourselves!!!) "I would have to pencil you in on my calendar to be upset by what you did because I'm too busy loving you to be upset." (Equals forgiving freely like Jesus Christ said and not letting people get to us like you said.) I used to dread a new day because I was tired of not liking myself. But for the past few weeks I've been learning to "give myself some grace". Sloppiness is everywhere. It's accepted by most but each of us can say "It's not accepted by me. I'm going to give my best." Our best doesn't have to be 100%. Sometimes my best is 10% because I struggle with depression but 10% is better than 0%. There is a difference between tolerating and accepting. Sorry for my rant; I talk too much too, haha. Thanks again for the upbeat. Have a happy day Tracy!

Dear Tracy, first of all I want to thank you for everything you teach me and, above all, for nurturing the hope of improving myself and my life. Thank you so much. Lately I've been noticing behavior in myself that I would like to improve/change. I very often find myself in a rushed, doing this, doing that. I ask you: how can I work on myself on this topic? How can I improve and change this rushed and sloppy attitude? In my job often I have to be speedy, but, listening to you, I begun to notice that, I don’t like the way I look, and I don’t like to feel like that, because I feel really agitated inside and not in control of myself, fearful of doing something wrong…I hope to express well. Thank you for your attention. A hug, with love.

Thank you, Patrizia! You are always so sweet and kind, and I appreciate your thoughtfulness and the time you take to express your gratitude to me. To answer your question: Be more aware of your movement and whether it serves you in that moment. Little bits of self-talk can do wonders. I 'feel' everything you describe, and I'm sure most can relate. I coach myself to slow down, move with Grace, and be meticulous. I don't strive for perfection, but my effort should be done well. Good Luck!

I loved this video! One of your best ever ! I am excited to sign up for another 3-week intense. I am excited to hear more details about your. 12-month program - I like the idea of it being for 12 months as it's a realistic time frame to see permanent changes in our lives. I know that many times when a program is short, you can easily forget about the program and you're off to something else, but a 12-month program gives the needed time and also (I think) would make your program much different than many others out there. I would also support a Patreon channel if you had one so I could help support you and ensure your content remains on KZbin and also allows you to profit from the time you spend making the videos. Happy New Year to you and your family!

Tracy, thank you for this video. I don’t really know where to start, but you have said what I always ask myself. Why is it that instead of going forward with the way people conduct themself, all has turned to the sloppy way they behave. Like I said, it’s too much to explain and you already did that on this video. I hope you understand what I mean ❤

Thank you, Lola. Fortunately, you don't have to subscribe to the sloppy way of living. You can subscribe, or you can choose not to. The decision will always be yours. I completely understand what you mean. I hope you understand what I mean.
