Tips for new players: To become pirate legend, you need to be level 50 in 3 of the 5 companies available. Normally the easiest to level up are gold hoarders due to chests being very common in all types of voyages and world events, reaper bones since they accept any kind of treasure and then order of souls or merchant alliance depending on which one you have higher. (Normally it’s order of souls unless you have done voyages for the merchant alliance since skeletons spawn everywhere) I suggest trying to get to level 50 gold and reaper trading companies and then focus on the one that is closest to lvl 50. When you become level 15 of any company (except Hunters call, the fishing company) you can buy an emissary flag which you should always put on for the trading company you want to level up. The only reason you won’t do it would be if you are really really scared of reapers or other players in general. It’s a high risk high reward mechanic (but to be honest most of the time you don’t really get attacked, unless you are doing a world event but even then, depending on the world event, you might not even see a player). If possible, always sell at grade 5 emissary since the rewards and the experience are greater and after selling, if you plan to continue doing voyages or looking for treasure, lower your emissary flag and put it back on again for some extra gold. Levelling a flag to grade 5 is not very hard so I recommend lowering and raising it again if you will continue looking for treasure. Becoming a pirate legend is pretty easy it doesn’t take that long if you are actively pursuing it (not getting distracted by the huge amount of things you can do in sea of thieves) Experienced players normally don’t go showing that they are a pirate legend, people who normally wear the pirate legend outfits or title are newer players that recently got to be a pirate legend so you can recognise just by looks how new a player is. New players normally wear “pirate looking” outfits and experienced players take a more “homeless” approach due to the funny aspect of it. The type of curse they wear or they cosmetics their ship has also reveals how new a player is. When you go fighting others, either when you want to steal someone’s treasure or defend yourself when a reaper emissary wants your loot, the cosmetics can give you clues of how good they are. Once you are a pirate legend, you can focus on the rest of the trading companies, you can try to get level 100 in a company for a sweet ring cosmetic, you can do tall tales, you can do commendations, you can focus on pvp hourglass or you can try fishing (don’t try fishing unless you are a completionist or want all achivements) The people who fish normally have done everything else and have a lot of experience on the game, don’t mess with them unless you know what you are doing. There is a sea of thieves fishing discord group that can help you get all commendations for fishing if you really want to. Makes fishing less annoying. Good luck on the high seas!

SEA OF THIEVES IDEAS: • Your own skeleton crew for solo players. • Make grog less powerful (it would be nice to drink more than one without getting wasted lol). • Allow solo players to join the upcoming flameheart ship as a crew member. Playing solo can be somewhat lonely • Save custom clothing sets • Turn on / off friendly fire for PvP practice with crew mates. • Sea Serpents, Maelstroms and huge rogue waves would make for more interesting seas. • Personal islands on the outer squares of the map: 1. Player can purchase an island type and choose it’s location on an outer map square. 2. Choose they’re house style 3. Can store things / spawn there 4. Island has some sort of passive mode option so you can’t be attacked on your island 5. If another player coincidentally has an island on the same square as you, your island will automatically be relocated to the next free square. Etc…

Yea but it's far far far more rewarding. Getting 2.5x gold and special voyages are a far more reward than it is risk. When someone wants to attack you they usually do it regardless if you are an emissary or not, and only people of grade 5 reapers can see you on the map. It's much more worth it than not

If you travel to rapier cay vote down a captain treasure vault voyage, 100% of the time the compass bottle loot thingy will be on rapier cay, when you dig it up skeletons spawn. when you kill those skeletons they drop vestiges of power. then you cancel the quest and then repeat, can that get you banned?

Specifically, the broken Emissary Flags and Captain's Logbook from sunken player ships can be turned in at the Reaper Faction Skeletons. This is so if you are playing Hourglass and win a match, you can sail to the closest outpost and get some gold before you dive to another match.

The enemy ship took a minute longer to sink because the enemies were able to bucket while spawning? Ban for intentional spawn camping. LIKE YOU GUYS DIDNT IMPLEMENT THE SCUTTLE FEATURE. Boy i have had it up to here with Rare banning people who dont deserve it.
