The end of this episode is hard to watch. Alyce was so rude after Tim and the girls worked so hard to cook dinner for her. @Trainurmind 2C ~ So let me ask you...how many ppl that practice yoga (and I'm not talking devoted Yogis I'm talking say a suburban mom) do you think even know that? All it is touted as now is a form of stretching and relaxation. Other than weirdos like Elise how many ppl are going to even associate yoga and religion? Especially when you see it offered on women's church retreats 😂 Elise thinks she has it figured out but she isn't even Christian. She is a brain washed zombie walking around spouting out the garbage that fire and brimstone preacher is selling them. She had no idea what SHE believes because all she knows is what she's been spoon fed prob since birth to believe. She's never had the presence of mind to question anything or examine it. She mindlessly accepts it. Sorry that's NOT a Christian. These episodes that feature ones like her amaze me. It really makes me wonder how they read their Bible and yet act the way they do. Where in the Bible does it say ANYWHERE to reject anything that is unlike you? From what I knew of the Bible from my years in church Jesus was loving and accepting and even when hurt or insulted he turned the other cheek and showed LOVE and that is what shows ppl that Jesus is the way. I don't remember any Bible verses or parables where Jesus didn't like how someone looked so he treated that person as if they were beneath them as Elise does. THAT is much more unGodly than yoga!! As the husband said he could call her out for being a hypocrite because shes certainly not practicing love thy neighbor is she? But he chose the high road which seems to be a pattern in the shows. It's not the "Christians" that are accepting and respectful it's the "pagans" while the Christians attack and demean. That is why so many ppl have such an unflattering view of Christianity!! Elise could easily be the spokeswoman for "how Christians SHOULDNT act" or the poster child of "Churches to Avoid" Her mother is even worse. Who the heck brings up religion the second you meet someone? And what makes either of them the authority on Christianity? Oh yeah there's that superiority that is unholy! And if "being a good Christian" is being a nasty spiteful dried up old prune like that woman? SHUDDER I also find it hilarious that Elise talks about being married to her "soulmate" yet clearly Tim TOLERATES her Christianity. It's so obvious when he says things like my wife is Christian. My wife likes to go to church. Yet another sign Elise is delusional. 😂

the dad with the piercings is really touching, I feel like he is really an amazing father, his wife is sweet too, they were just an overall wonderful family, I also love how the dad took his son's feelings seriously because for a little boy having his mom gone and then a strange woman comes to there house, it can be scary, but the dad handled it well by listening and talking and allowing his son to cry it out instead of dealing with it alone. the Christian family, well for the dad and kids they were just sweethearts, I wish the dad was more involved because he is the father and the kids need him, it relieved me when he told the wife to stop at the end when she kept whining to her kids, they are kids, she can have that discussion with her husband behind doors, it did warm my heart when I saw the dad and kids interacting and smiling, and the dad just having that pure laughter while doing so. The Christian mom, oml it was wild, in the beginning, I was just feeling so sorry for her kids cause i think it wrong to force religion on a kid like u can talk about it, however, to make them go to church and do bible meetings to where its beatin into there brain is just wrong, but then she got to the other family and she had a whole personality switch, she was judgy but she stayed nice and respectful, and even stayed gentle when it came to the little boy being uncertain of her (despite how in the beginning she was harsh to her daughter's feelings.) I thought that she had eye-opening feelings and was changing, then she got back home and started acting really cold and mean again and taking it out on the kids and her husband, she also seemed mad and jealous that the women noticed the other side of her husband and also seemed mad that the money was used for the family to spend more time together and just, why is that a bad thing? to have fun with your family? isn't family important in the bible? I'm just appalled by her behavior because her family needs more love, and for women who is suppose to be like that, she is the opposite, I really hope she has a change of heart, that or her husband takes the family and leave because her kids gonna suffer.
@sheilahammond42602 жыл бұрын
She seemed so miserable. It's not really her fault. Those ministers (some of them, anyway) push so much fear and threats of hell on good folk! It's done lots of harm to a lot of people. Imagine being told that you are headed for hell for half your life! All the joy would drop out of you. Jealousy is born out of insecurity, and low self-esteem, and I don't think anyone enjoys being jealous. It's so negative and destructive. We can so easily fall into becoming negative, and sometimes it only takes a little act of kindness to lift us up out of it, a small compliment even, a word, a flower, a smile.

@@YouAreGoingToLoseMe87 I believe that Allah created everything, but that belief isn't for everyone. A more widely accepted idea is that we came from millions or even billions of years of breeding and evolution to get to the point that we're at. As for the point of life...I dunno, just have fun while you have time, I suppose.

Really? It's sad honestly, I had hoped she'd turn around after seeing herself but she's a true Karen.

Alyce is controlling and motionless..she didn’t hug her hubby or eat the dinner..she couldn’t wait to get things back in order as she stated..I think she was jealous of the new relationships..happy reunion with tears in my eyes..

I liked the Girone family. I was impressed with the way Tim Girone encouraged his son to listen to someone with different views than his own. I thought a lesson here for Alyce was: get to know them first and be a real friend before trying to evangelize. Once she scrap-booked with Vincenzo, he was willing to listen to her. I also think Alyce has been very unfairly dumped on in the comments. I didn't see her do anything awful. I myself have backed away from evangelicals who put THEIR faith front and center and demand I believe as they do at first meeting. I am Christian but I'm not good enough until I'm THEIR KIND of Christian. I get it. I get why Barb and Tim didn't immediately change their minds. Alyce and her mother need to LOVE FIRST. But I also understand that Alyce says these things because she genuinely believes that these people she's coming to care for are going to end up in a bad place for all eternity and she genuinely cares about this and about them. I had a friend who was a Jehovah's Witness and was always on me that I had to become JW. In the end, it killed our friendship. I believe my faith has me on the right path and I pray and believe God has mercy if not. BUT THE KEY IS: I have always believed my friend cared about my eternity. Yes, I think she's wrong. But her heart is in the right place and I would never say the hateful, awful things about her that are being said here about Alyce. She DOES CARE for these people. And she was very gracious in stepping into a world very foreign to her and reaching out to these people in the way she knew how. It makes me sad to see how many are wishing her husband has dumped her. She may not be perfect...but none of us are. And we should remember that in the comments we make. Most of us are doing the best we know how to do for our spouses and children and I saw a woman who was confronted with a world very different than her own and chose to love these people in the way she knew how and came home weary and confused and not hungry, yet apparently sat down at the table with her family to talk Let us all remember that these reality shows are not 100% real. They pick a narrative. They edit and splice. My son was there when a reality show was made ('reality') and saw how much the 'reality' show was directed and pushed toward narratives. Be careful what you believe.

Yes, these shows are so fake! Scripted and highly edited. I've seen where people that have been on or worked on reality shows have said they even cut reactions and paste them into other parts of the video. So when someone looks disgusted or angry, or says something snippy, a lot of the time the show has taken that and pasted it in to make it look like the person was reacting that way to something somebody said or did. or reacting to something about the house or the decor or something. Alyce is being treated very unfairly in the comments. She went along with trying a yoga session that went a direction she had not expected and I think she kind of regretted it. But she was open to trying the things that were important to the family she was visiting. And she did not push the devotional reading on the little boy when he didn't want to do it. They did not even visit a church like she had wanted to. The other lady took alcohol into an alcohol free home with the kids there and didn't seem to have asked the kids how they would feel about that.

Well he did "dump" her and seems happier than he's been in years. You can tell he's miserable and she treated him horribly when she got home.
