Jared, I just "escaped" from a 3 week slump (7 losing trades in a row). Lost $1500 on a $54,000 account. After 10 years, I was actually considering quitting trading altogether. If it weren't for your videos on money management, I would have completely blown my account up. But after the 3rd loss, I went from putting on 100 share lots, to trading lots of 10 shares and lost FOUR MORE TRADES. Instead of bankrupt, I'm still up on the year and have had 3 out of 3 winning trades this week to get me back in the game. (Still just 10 shares but that's not the point.) The point is: Thanks you so much for your "simple truths". YOU are the man!

“There’s always another trade.” That message rings deep with me. I don’t really have faith in my abilities yet, so I keep trying to squeeze every little bit out of every trade and also think my losses should turn around magically right before liquidation points. Eat the small loss, learn from it, improve, and enter another trade with that improved knowledge. My PnL is becoming my secondary success indicator behind whether or not I had valid set ups and executed them correctly.

My highlight of this video was: an accelerated expansion between the EMA(200D) and EMA(21D) + a huge volume spike with zero price movement = reversal. Trying to dig deeper on this setup: Expanding space meaning it has a climax move somewhere before, and the little price movement meaning consolidation through time has lasted a bit, a volume spike meaning there was reduced volume before indicating lack of interest for a period of time, and interests have been picked up, potentially through institution order. Love your content, very insightful!

"Poverty and disgrace come to him who ignores instruction, but whoever heeds reproof is honored" Proverbs 13:18 ESV Bible. First, Jared, thanks for putting out these videos. They are helping me greatly in developing a plan and strategy for money/risk management and getting-my-head-out-of-the-clouds management. The more Proverbs I read, the more I want to follow your advice and not my advice (first month of trading). I fight the "sticking to $10 risk per trade" rule, but when I lose, I'm thankful I only lost ten or less and consider it like a $10 real-life kick in the pants. Later, in a journal, I write what I did wrong in red, print out the chart of the mistake I made (mostly bad patterns and too tight of a stop loss, plus one case where I moved a stop loss up too soon due to emotional "reasoning"). Plus, your 84% rule is awesome and I have been journaling how many times it has worked. Finally, I think you have a great channel, but it could be bumped up to an excellent channel, in my opinion, if you considered more carefully your choice of wording going bearish on certain four letter words ;) God bless you and I look forward to more content and viewing the rest of your older videos.

Hello Jared, enjoying your video and learning as always, but I must ask you, if the MA is a performance based indicator, and price is the control indicator as in its giving immediate feedback as to what’s happening this instant, then how do you know that at the end of the time correction it’s not going to start a drop as opposed to a climb, and if you did put a buy order in there what candlestick would you use for your stop loss? Thanks, Jon

I greatly appreciate your lessons. Thank you so much. Can you apply the same principles that you are teaching here to trading on a daily/weekly period? I am not able to day trade.
@joanpi04 жыл бұрын
Yes, the important thing to keep in mind is how to approach each of the timeframes you might want to use, either day trade, swing trade which you can be 2 to a few days in the trade, or core trade and be for weeks or months or years in the trade. But int he end the same methodology applies, of course for longer periods you might be using 15 minutes, 30min, or 60 minutes charts to get in, and for your market bias you will be looking at the daily / weekly chats. They have lots of videos here you can watch and learn, also you can join the live chat if you like and see it, just email livetraders and they even offer a trial.

using this to look at my past failed entry points on the 15time frame using r21EMA it is soooo obvious... once again you deliver the goods.. also i have some that are consolidating into the EMA i was thinking to sell but this has given me confidence to maintain them to anticipate a possible break out. I also looked at a lot of their movements and literally on a 15min chart every spike was a 4 green bar spike with a 3/4 bar retracement... I remember you saying in one of your other videos you were told early on 15min was where the money is at... I am starting to see why when i look back on my shitttty buy ins.. but I feel FOMO was the issue for sure.

When there are 4 bars in a row (Red for example) and at the end is an increase of volume (indicating the end of the momentum) and when the new bar forms (green) on the opossite direction. So what if an asset pauses going down through the 200 EMA on the daily chart but then during the multi-year downtrend continually RIPS through the 200 EMA whenever it gets near it? I would think continually ripping through the 200 would indicate that the existing trend down is continuing long term and to expect the Price to React Appropriately (cling to it for a bit) when the downtrend is ending.
