You have never made a single mistake? Does that mean you always make more than one?

I traded a foil "Lightning Bolt" I got for 3$ for a "Lightning Bolt" and two Russian cards 1 of which was a 7$ duel land. The very next night I was playing games over at a friend's with a guy whom I found out collects foreign cards and speaks Russian and he strait traded me for the English one I needed. Recently got a "Death's Shadow" for 6$ (Which is about a 1$ below what it is and is the most recommended card for my commander "Varolz") and got a foil "Thing in the Ice" for 9$.

Wow I never heard of all of these definitions of trading up. I always used "trading up" as trading outside of the game for better cards for more of your slightly worse cards. Like trading your planewalker for bulk rares for your edh deck.

All of my pet cards end up sitting in my "box for EDH-centric" cards... I always put them in something and I almost always take them out... I love you Vela but you're a pain in the ass to work around. T-T A lot of what you guys talk about and think about is a HUGE part of magic and I rarely learn anything new (mechanically) but I still listen and I recommend your channel to all of my EDH friends. (Because they're all terrible at critical thinking...)

what only 5 comments ? with 3K views great episode I've been going back and listening to these after I got really into edh been slowing trading to furn my gimmicky karador shadow born apostles deck into a karador boon weaver combo deck but hey shadowborns aren't 2 bad when you have 30 shadowborns and 30 black mana turn 4-5 think the most important part of tuning a deck is the ramp and hate bears for proxyings I don't care if my opponent has 50 proxies for a year personally I playtest online because I find taking out politics is the best way to test so I only really use proxies for cards I own in other decks or ones that are in the mail
