Traditional Mangalorean Style Sardine (Tarli) Fish Curry - Seafood
Sadrines / tarli , It is the fish that I have devoured often right from my childhood. This sardine fish is so abundant in Mangalore and Mumbai.
This fish curry is quite famous for its perfect balance of spicy and sour flavours. Easy to make and best served with steamed rice.
Sardines - you either love them or hate them, there is nothing in between. We just love it fried as well as curry.
Sardine are tasty and packed with loads of goodness.They are also a great source of vitamin D, omega-3 fatty acids, protein, calcium and phosphorus and support cardiovascular health and reduce the blood sugar level, which are very important for all age groups. So, it is best to incorporate it in our diet and stay healthy.

List of Ingredients
5 pieces of fish
2 onions
1 tomato
Few curry leaves
1 inch piece ginger
4-5 green chillies
6-7 garlic cloves
2-3 pieces of malabar tamarind/ kodampuli
Salt as per taste
1/4 tsp methi seeds powder/ fenugreek seeds powder
2 tsp coriander seeds powder
2 tbsp chilly powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
Coconut oil
