Thanks for the video. I live across the road from Graham Swamp and bought my first trail bike today and that would be my first track to try it on. I just started watching your videos and was exciting to see that you came to our little piece of Florida.

This is my home trail, it surprises a lot of people, the fact that it's pan flat driving into it they don't expect all the elevation changes. A lot of those climbs are tougher than they look especially if your new to the trail and don't know they are coming so you don't carry enough speed into them.

I'm relocating to area in a few months, and was bummed that I couldn't find a little bit of tech trail, until I saw this video. I'm stoked right now!!!

Clint, I live in southwest Florida and my wife and I ride trails where ever we go in Florida...if your in or near Flagler beach again you need to ride Malacompra it is a great trail with awesome flow, great obstacles and some really awesome wooden features..from green to black diamond options...My wife and I like to stay in Flagler Beach and we have been to Mala Compra 2 times and loved it..can't wait to go back...completely different than Graham Swamp from what I can tell since I have not ridden it...."Yet".. :)

Great Channel. If you are ever out in California hit me up. We have a couple thousand miles of trails right on the edge of town in the upper Mojave desert on the eastern side of the Sierras. Tons of climbing and descents. Rock, sand and hard pack. Very common to put a couple to several thousand feet of climbing in every ride and hit 50+ mph on the steeper down hills.
@Bristecom6 жыл бұрын
It's a good trail but the steep technical uphills you mentioned nearly killed me on my somewhat heavy bike on a hot summer day! It just overheats your body! The drops are impressive and it's a fairly challenging trail for Florida but I definitely prefer the more flowy trails. You're spot on with your review!

I am eternally grateful for the rugged drops and very rocky, rooty ascents we have in the hill country around San Antonio, TX. Your trail is a nice, friendly trail, certainly, but we have some wicked drops in the hill country.

Graham swamp is such a great trail. We were in DuPont this past week and I was actually looking forward to riding graham when I got home. I put in 2 laps this afternoon too, would’ve been cool to ride with you. I agree on the heat in summer. I ride graham at about 5:30 in the afternoon. I also drink a water bottle on the way there then I usually can get 2 laps out of 1 more water bottle.

Also at 8:06 the line is farther to the left. You gotta jump that root/hip jump. That section is one of my favorites.

When I lived in Jacksonville I would make the drive down because that trail is so good. I would usually combine Mala Compra on the same day, then go swim in the ocean.

Good vid, Clint. As a SC native I can attest to the debilitating effects of high humidity conditions, even if it's not hot humidity can still kill a ride. Can't wait for fall weather!

Hey, I know you know how to prepare for the storm but I thought you may want to get four 100 ft black water hoses. It will give 3 warm showers in a row. Just in case the current goes out, it worked good for my family during Florence. Good luck to y'all

Nice only a 50 minute drive for me. The issue I find at Santos is that my 29er trail bike is hard to navigate through the more compressed technical loops. This trail looks like that would be an issue as well. I wonder if a 27.5 would be better suited to fit these trails although a lot of what I ride is more cross country so the 29er works most of the time.

Great channel Clint! I’m wanting to get a mountain/trail bike. Definitely a full suspension for the type of trails we have. I’ve been into trail running for the past 16ish years between college running, coaching and tackling Ultras the past few years but I want to mix it up. My question is my local shop carries Scott and I’m wondering if you have any experience with them or would be able to say anything about them? Either way thank you.

We're going to Ormond Beach the week between Christmas and New Year this winter and I was thinking of hitting up Mala Compra not too far from where we're staying that I heard about. Is Graham Swamp near there? Maybe I can go there as well. I'm thinking of bringing my 29er hardtail with a 130mm travel fork rather than my full squish.
@ClintGibbs4 жыл бұрын
They are both about 10 minutes from each other. Mala compra is okay but not my favorite trail system. The harder trails are just a little oddly laid out but they've done a good job with the space. I like Graham Swamp much better.
