Early Saturday morning, stuck in suburbia (thanks COVID) watching Marco cook camp breakfast - over and over and over. Yeah, he's that cool and that looks sooo good. I loop that part of the video... And in my head I hear my own voice say: "I'm not crying, you're crying. I'm not crying, you're crying..."

So excited to be camping again. My wife, kids, and I have been out the last two weekends, it has rained, sleeted, and hailed on us and been below freezing in the mountains most nights, but it has just been great to be out.

One tip for the bungee papertowel holder. Use two bungees. One thru and one that rounds on the outside. I've walked off before and came back to the whole roll on the floor. The wind was blowing and unrolled the whole thing lol :)

Been following you for about a month and binge watching all your videos. I have a lot to learn in regards to off roading and overlanding, where I'm from, you don't see too many urban residents into to these things but I'm different. I hunt, I'm into japanese imports and love the outdoors, your channel is a blessing as well as the other major off roading and jeep channels. Give me 12 months, I'll have my Rubicon.

I've been running a single battery setup for a few years now and solar makes such a big difference, even just running the radio at a job site or accidentally leaving a light on over night is no worries. Plus it makes a standard battery last so much longer coz it's always staying charged.

I had the same experience with my FSR Adventurer m55 tri-layer tent, mattress was way to firm, I ended up replacing it with an inflatable pad and it's 100x better. I assume it's a Canada only product since it's MEC brand but I'm sure there is an equivalent model in the states, but it's the MEC Reactor 6.5 double which fits perfectly in my m55 👌

That Victron solar controller is known for putting out a lot of QRM and interfering with radio comms. Anyone who wants an MPPT and is concerned about QRM should look into Morningstar or Genasun. Also, note that installing a panel on a dark surface will significantly reduce efficiency due to excessive heat.

Saw the odyssey in the thumbnail and never clicked so fast. I'm so jealous! I ordered the smaller one months ago through Vagabond 4wd in Phoenix but because of all this craziness I haven't been able to go get it installed. I'm out here in 29 Palms and I work on the base and we're not supposed to travel more than 30 miles from the base to the end of June. 😣😭 My plan is to go to Phoenix and have it installed then up to Sedona for a couple nights, then on up to the grand canyon for a couple nights before heading home. If course that's assuming I ever get to leave 29 Palms. 😏 Maybe one day I'll see y'all out in JT Park or up at Big Bear.

Question on the solar. Solar panels that are attached to your rooftop tent versus solar panels which can be placed anywhere? Watching a number of overland vloggers, many say it makes no sense to have solar attached to your rig. Rather, they say, park where you want, park say in the shade, and then place your solar in an optimal position away from the vehicle. Thoughts? Pros and Cons? Thanks.
