Totally irresponsible posting a video like this that you know kids are going to watch and try to replicate .
@SamsTrains5 жыл бұрын
In the unlikely event that a child is allowed to replicate this "experiment", the worst case scenario would be damage to their models. To my knowledge, there's no possibility of receiving a meaningful (much less dangerous or fatal) electric shock from an isolated 19v 0.5A DC power supply as used by Hornby in their train sets.
@GowertonParkway5 жыл бұрын
As a parent , I know how stupid kids can be . It doesn’t matter what they are allowed or not allowed to do , they will try and copy things that people they look up to on KZbin do . You are running power from a mains supply into water , it’s totally irresponsible posting this when you know damn well what a large portion of your audience is !
@sgkingly83925 жыл бұрын
@@GowertonParkway The power supply may be 230V 50hz AC but it is stepped down to 19V DC and at most 0.5A. This is not enough current and potential difference to do any damage to a human. The worst you would feel if you got an electric shock is a slight tingling if that.
@GowertonParkway5 жыл бұрын
Sg Kingly I’m fully aware of the the voltages in question . You are missing the point . It’s electricity into water . If Kids replicate this in their garden , how do they get a power source to their paddling pool ? Via an extension lead which carries mains voltage . The problem here is that children watch this channel and will not carry this out safely. It’s irresponsible click bait being posted by the channel I’m afraid.

And another idea is someone (maybe your self has to make the worlds first aquarium with a railway inside of it! Great video.

That was fascinating but gotta ask; why? What prompted you to try this?

An inquisitive mind I suppose - and people were suggesting it in comments! Thanks for watching - Sam :)

Okay, so you have done underwater railways Sam. I think you need a bigger challenge. Perhaps it is time to go into space. Forget the Heljan O4, unless you want to see it float away. I think you might need an old Hornby loco with magnadhesion to counteract the lack of gravity.

Ooh I like it - I'd love to send a loco into space - preferably this one! ;D Thanks for watching - Sam :)

I can't believe it worked!, you should put it in a bubble air tube next (a clear one) so we can see the reaction to waves!

If you could buy a fish tank add fish make a glass tunnel with track in it connect it and have a train go under water that would be cool but it won’t work
@SamsTrains4 жыл бұрын
haha that'd be pretty amazing, but you'd need to have the track descend into water for that - and I certainly wouldn't recommend it! ;D Thanks for watching - Sam :)
