The seats are chosen by DB, not by Siemens. DB has has very uncomfortable seating for about 6 years, because they wanted to fit in more people and get cheaper uncomfortable seats. That’s what happens when costs dictate everything.

The seats are going to be replaced in 2021 because many people felt very uncomfortable with them.

Nice video! ICE 4s remind me of Railjets, the interior is similarly designed: same screens, similar lightning and a very similar restaurant car as it's the same manufacturer... but the seats are different! There is a new one going from Berlin to Prague and continuing towards Vienna and Graz worth checking out. 😊

Hi Jakub! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and I invite you to subscribe my channel. 😄 I'm aware of the new Railjet routes! ÖBB is doing an amazing work. For the moment, I have never traveled with Railjet but it's on my bucket list and I'm sure it will come very soon to the channel! 👋 Greetings from Spain, Marcos.

@@marcostrain you don't know what you are missing! Do it as fast as you can, as Railjet definitely is the best Intercity (not High-Speed) train in Europe.

Paris Gare du Nord is the busiest one but Hamburg is size wise so much smaller. Basically only 4 plattforms for all regional, IC and ICE trains.

Great Video! But one Question, when you walk trough the train or go eating. Do you don’t worry about your luggage?

Hello Henri, thanks for your question and I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I usually travel accompanied so my belongings are always watched. When not, I carry my hand luggage with my important things with me. Regards!

Hello! Could you help me with my doubt: Do those trains (ICD, IC, ICE) accept large suitcases (22kg) in second class?

Very nice trip report the DB iCEs have a good design and I admire the interior and the café and dining car area also the staff were nice to give you chocolates and also the train journey looked nice too can I ask why the annoucements are in french? I think the busisest station in Europe is paris gare du nord not sure Also could be London Waterloo or frankfurt main hauptbahnhof

Hi Daniel! 👋 The announcements were in French because they are displayed in several languages, besides German. And yes, you are right about the busiest train station in Europe. It's the Gare du Nord, in Paris 🇫🇷. Congrats!

I don't know why everyone who does trip reports on an ICE takes the ICE 4 or 3 (or T). The best one is the oldest, the ICE 1. And you should also try the Metropolitan ICE, there are only two trains of this one in Germany. There you don't need first class, because second class ist the same comfort expect in the 2 last/first 2nd class coaches on the end/beginning on the train, these two were built new so they aren't good. Difference to first class is the at Place service for food. The seats are the same, the interior. One of them goes every day except one (I'm not sure which one) from Berlin Ostbahnhof to Frankfurt Airport. Number 1191 I think. And it also goes back the same day.

Not a bad video. But you should maybe change your camera/camera settings. All window-views show strongly curved rails and other objects.

So how much does one trip costs for all classes?
@marcostrain4 жыл бұрын
Hi M Lau! The ride was included in my first class Interrail pass so I only paid for the seat reservation (is not necessary). The train fares in Germany usually vary according to the advance with which you buy the ticket and the train departure time. I don't know the exact ticket price but you can check the DB website for more information.
