It's a hidden gem for sure. It's really cool to see Patrick doing martial arts in a movie several years before Road House as well.

Man, Road House was my fave movie for a long time back in 89. I still remember seeing Benny in the background and shouting “that’s Benny The Jet Urquidez”!! I loved and knew about him with watching all the Jackie Chan movies. Wheels on Meals and Dragons Forever has amazing fight sequences with Benny in. He made a frightening bad guy.

Watching Road House the first time, I thought Patrick Swayze was a life long martial artist, the way Van Damme grew up with it, and that there would be a series of martial arts films following it up. At the time I had no idea he was a dancer. That was some fantastic choreography!

I saw in an interview from years ago where Benny Urquidez talked about training Patrick Swayze for Roadhouse by setting his movements to music, and trying to talk him into competing. It doesn’t surprise me at all that Patrick Swayze became so adept to the martial arts, cause he was had been a gymnast, football player and a professional ballet dancer. So the man was tough, athletic and he knew how to move efficiently and effectively. Had he chose to compete I believe he would’ve done very well and possibly won a few championships. Cause let’s not forget who else came from a ballet background; Mr. Jean Claude Van Damme.

As far as being one of the most legendary and Fierce competitors in the sport of kickboxing I'm not certain but I think Benny the jet urquidez had a traditional foundation in American Kenpo Karate as well? Please someone correct me if I'm wrong because as far as training Patrick Swayze for fight sequences not everything is seemed exactly like kickboxing because Some of those movements had a very traditional martial arts quality!

So Swayze runs, boom! Tackles the guy off the motorcycle. Dude's like, "You're dead, bro!" Comes at him. Swayze ducks, scissor kick. Sha! The guy has Swayze's head. And he says, "I used to [bleep] guys like you in prison." By the looks of this guy, this is not consensual sex we're talking about. We see bad guy had a gun the whole time. He's like, "I'ma kill you the old-fashioned way." Swayze's like, "Not this time." That's subtext. He doesn't say that. Bypasses the gun, hooks the arm. Back to the secret move he used before to kill somebody, he feels so bad about it. But this time he has to do it because it's self-defense. K-k-k-kah! Takes the esophagus out of the neck area. You can't eat. You'll starve to death.
