This is what I needed, after a stop from 16 years, it's hard to get at the point where I once was. I regret I have quit for so long. ☮️, keep it up.

I'm a 49 year old taekwondo nerd. Active between 1981-2000 and "stuck" on a small island in Thailand since 8-9 years. I still like to find mental energy to just do the good old basics and you are very good at find excellent exercises that anyone who's got some experience can do. Thank you and ❤️from Thailand 🇹🇭

Very good advice, but foot and ankle strength workouts are extremely important for balance development and injury prevention.

An excellent video. Great tips. A video on improving flexibility would be great. Simple routines to run through.

Hi Alex my name is Stephon Stewart. I was wondering about the basic exercises of Pushups, Squats, Crunches, and Jumping jacks; How many sets can I do to get in shape. Tried to get strong and fit.

Hey Alex, Another great video! I liked the stretching section and I have always stretched both before and after a class for over 20 years. I rather enjoy stretching in fact : ) I did however, read an interesting article recently on the NHS website (UK health service) that I have attached that has made me think twice about the benefits of stretching for injury prevention etc. From a range of motion and increasing flexibility point of view then stretching is certainly a must for all Martial Artists. Does it help prevent injuries etc? I'm not sure (all I know is that the only time I have pulled a muscle is when I didn't stretch out before a class) and with all these things the debate will rage on I'm sure. As I said I just found the article interesting and I hope you do as well. Enjoy! www.nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/stretch-before-exercising/ All the best Tim x

Ha Ha why do people take it so easy on themselves. If you want to get in shape, embrace the pain, suck it up, and get to it. If you get discouraged from working to hard, then your mentality is weak, and you need to toughen up. Either you want it or not. No excuses!!

I took a 3-year break from TKD because I needed to take place and hadle our family businesses. I gained weight, and I know I am no longer as fast, agile, and flexible as I was before. That's because I just completely stop. Like really no training, not even just once a week. But I'm planning to get back in to TKD again this March 2019, I just have to fix some things.

Princess Beà Cabañéz Miqué same here but I play a different sport now (volleyball) and I keep finding myself drawn to TKD. I would like to ease myself back in it. I stopped like 2-4 years ago because I broke my arm but I really want to get back into it. If you got back into it or found something *please please* let me know.
