I’m impressed that you can talk while jogging. :-) It’s nice to see that the weather in Norway is becoming sunny and warm. I’m in San Diego County, California, and it has recently been dark and overcast for the early part of the days. Many people think Southern California is almost always sunny, but in this region we sometimes get "May Gray" and "June Gloom". Anyway, a week ago I bought a wristband fitness tracker to track my heart rate (BPM), heart rate zones, etc., while jogging. It’s given me extra motivation to get out and jog most days. It’s fun to get "points" (or whatever they’re called) from the phone app that pairs with the wristband on the days that I jog. Thanks for the update, Mikkel.

Nice! Yeah tracking fitness metrics can be a lot of fun! I geek out on the numbers all day everyday! The weather is warming up and the sun is getting stronger, but we also have lots of thunderstorms and freak rains, as this is common in summer. A lot of people use the "talk test" as a measure of exercise intensity. Easy running, which should form the bulk of your training, should be easy enough so that you can effortlessly hold a conversation. We're talking 60 - 80% of maximum HR, usually around 70%.

Hi, keep up the recovery! I'm finally back to training like a madman (madwoman?) myself after overcoming some injuries. It's so smart to take it slow.

Hi Mikkel in terms of weather if one is appropriately dressed and hydrated is there a physiological adaptation that needs to happen to adjust from winter to warmer weather running?
@LoneEndurance3 жыл бұрын
Great question Donna, and yes there is. Heat acclimatization is the process of getting more adapted to warmer weather. Things like increased sweat production, earlier onset of sweating, lower sodium concentration in sweat, larger blood plasma volume are some of the main ones. We can discuss it further in our next consultation if you want! In the mean time, just search for "heat acclimatization" and get clued up on it :)
