Exactly what's been going on through my head these days bro, it seems unfair when you see others progress so fast with little work in a short period of time with no knowledge just by attempting the skills. in the other hand you putting much work and consistency yet you see small progress, That's due to multiple variables as you mentioned my advice for people like me is to train smart, staying consistent and not comparing yourself to others.💪
@SasaVenos4 ай бұрын
Good advice, no need to compare yourself. Unfortrunely genetics will be a huge determinant in your rate of progress, but you can still elevate yourself by training smart and being consistent!

No program works only if you are good at listening to your body, you still need a general idea of how to get to your goals. Its like you have the program in your head

Good vid, As a complete beginner I thought more expensive program == better results. But there is plenty of free calisthenics/bodybuilding/strength training knowledge out there now, so all you really need to do is put in the work and follow principles instead of exact rep/sets schemes.
@SasaVenos4 ай бұрын
Exactly. A program is only as good as its principles.

Fr got my chest the best exercises that actually left me sore wasn’t 200 pushups a day, it was 40 but on chairs like both my arms on separate chairs shoulder width apart for a gap in the middle to dip my chest in, with my feet elevated behind me on another chair, with feet elevated chair dips 40 reps n boom easy

Same, people start their studies talks making scientific proven right and i always hear that in Canada .This is why i started training how i feel and the exercises which work for me many people say i do injury stuff but i made a lot of progress in 3 months than in 4 years but also shocks me that routine are for certain people due to an injury or weak points not everyone can follow the same like many people cant do my way. Anyways great video
@SasaVenos4 ай бұрын
Yes, training by feeling is fun and you can make decent progress. However, i still prefer programming because it gives you limits and a very clear direction. Doing more isnt always better, thank you!

amazing vid as always :) personally, plan worked amazing for me until i started planching, its so hard to be in the right mindset, energy levels, sleep etc which isnt much of a problem with other stuff. would often feel like poop on training day while really good on rest days so now going by feeling and its been nice as long as im careful not to overtrain
@SasaVenos4 ай бұрын
Its too hard not to overdo without a plan 😂. I agree, although you could have solved that problem by simply looking at your performance week by week and taking some conclusions to make changes. Thanks for the comment!

the sad thing about gifted athletes (not referring to you in this case) is they can train randomly and notice they get results, then sell coaching services with the same randomly/poorly thought out plans and spread misinformation
@SasaVenos4 ай бұрын
Im not gonna shit on anybody but yeah, that happens very often. Took me some time as well to realize that its not the best idea to coach people with the same frequencies and volumes that I used to do

Its a lot of fun and some people will also make great progress. The other, unfortunate people (like yourself) will exceed their maximum recoverable volumes very fast and suffer the consequences. Thanks for the comment

I just made front lever and planche programs, 6 week hypertrophy and 5 weeks skill focused trainings. I thought if I wasted my time, but you came with ur video just in time, I guess I'll give it a shot now. Need to break that 10 sec front lever stuck already 😅
@SasaVenos4 ай бұрын
Not sure about that. You can very well practice skills WHILE doing hypertrophy. Skills in cali are technical and its not very smart to not do them for extended periods of time. Your skill work might have to suffer a little because you'll be more fatigued from hypertrophy volumes (and you should) but its still way better than not doing them at all
@dixaotz4 ай бұрын
@@SasaVenos Yeah I got it, but I didn't mean like full hypertrophy, it starts with skill training and finish with hypertrophy, just more sets on ht part and less on skills. And next cycle is more skill oriented, beacuse in first cycle I strengthen muscles for skills and then I can impove. I thought that made a sense so I decided to try it, we will see I guess. Thanks for advices bro, it really helps a lot

Its reletivly easy to program statics/skill traning. I train dynamics aswell, which are way more unpredictable so I dont bother trying to program. However I have trained for 7 years so defenitly following certain traning principles
@SasaVenos4 ай бұрын
Yeah, its literally called "freestyle" and not "planstyle" 😂😂. In any case I'd actually disagree that skills programming is easy, it takes a lot of skill and experience to able to connect everything to work in an efficient way.
@noah06464 ай бұрын
@@SasaVenos You are right, what I was trying to say is that it is easier to program statics then dynamics. From what I have seen most serious people in this sport end up getting injured one way or another. The exitement of learning new skills end up overshadowing cautious programing and you get injured.

Can you make a video in how to program skills and strength training please. Think it will help a lot of people
@georgepetrou5014 ай бұрын
Thanks a lot for this video, in my opinion the best thing to do is to get the best of both worlds. Organise your training, not for the next 6 months but for the next 1 month. Then, after you see how it goes with that specific plan, keep it if you like it, or change it if you don't. This gives you freedom, because even though your training is planned, you can change it very frequently if you want, and good organisation, because your training is planned. This is how you get the pros from both methods.
@SasaVenos4 ай бұрын
Yes! Its called autoregulation. Basically means you don't blindly follow the program you write but you also "Listen to your body" and change exercises, volumes or take a day off if needed. Thanks for the comment!

Get to 10+ seconds first. Then you can add ankleweights and build up again.. or you can do one leg straddle planche (one leg adv tuck the other in straddle).
