Blown away by this little miniature rail line. Found the live feed channel a little while ago and can't get over it. A miniature railway that operates just like a full scale passenger railway. Great. Love this video too.

Love how at @12:45 the two front engines are puffing quite hard and then there's that red engine (winston Churchill? In which the wheels aren't turning over much due to how bug the drive wheels are in comparison

Great video, but the track is overdue relaying. It's a wonder that no rolling stock has not been derailed on some sections.
@TheSouthernerYTChannel3 жыл бұрын
Cheers. The track is regularly maintained by working parties - but largely working on shingle, the track will never be 100%. Also, taking the scale into consideration. That being said, if you feel it's a problem that's overdue, you may like this page: www.rhdr.org.uk/volunteering/

Anyone knows the story about that Canadian Locomotive?
@TheSouthernerYTChannel3 жыл бұрын
No 9 "Winston Churchill" Built in 1931 along with No10. The design was based around North American practices, as the larger cab was thought to provide better weather protection. Originally named "Doctor Syn", was renamed in 1948. Any further information is searchable and publically available. See here: www.rhdr.org.uk/locomotives/winston-churchill/

How many Mountain Types were built in the UK?
@Gaizhun4 жыл бұрын
The two at the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch railway are the only mountain type locomotives in the UK.
@philaypeephilippotter65324 жыл бұрын
Just the two *RHDR* ones ever ran in service here but I think others were built here for other countries.
