1. Listen more than talking. 2. Ask good questions, be curious about the customer. 3. Confidence, quiet confidence, in yourself, product, company. Confidence comes from competence, when you are good your confidence level goes up. 4. Super friendly, people skills. People do business with people they know, like, and trust. 5. Follow up 6. Relentless, never stop. No does not mean No it means no yet. No is temporally. Every no brings me closer to a yes

One of the biggest problems in sales is people are artificially creating enthusiasm and they really have no interest in the products or services they are selling. There are mainly just looking to make money off more commission. It is mainly about a way of manipulating people into buying stuff that they really don't have interest in.
@SOCOSalesTraining3 жыл бұрын
Totally agree! The first person salespeople need to “sell to” is themselves. If they genuinely believe in their company and their products, they’ll come across as more authentic with customers.
@sayyer103 жыл бұрын
Super agreed! They’re just looking for a salary! They have zero interest in the job so long as it’s a job that pays!
@upinsmokewego592 жыл бұрын
Exactly! At my shop, I tried a lot of products and researched to be able to better understand what people want. They always tell me they appreciate me being genuine, and they prefer that over "created enthusiasm" any day.

Good sales is about balancing steering your customer into decisions that you know are in their interest, while maintaining honesty and transparency, and providing excellent service. I believe that sales is almost as much about delivering good service, as it is about using what you know to help customers make the best ownership decisions. In fact the act of selling itself is really a service, and if you don't see it that way, I think you're probably a bad or dishonest salesperson.

I avoid shops when I go in there (as an expert in my craft), and theyre telling 'no you don't need to buy that, you need something else'. Its like HU? Youre literally turning down a sale and you have no idea who I am, that I know exactly why i need to buy the item. I guess they get more rookies and they have to sell them amateur items, so they assume im one of those. Anyways it makes me feel very insulted and I try to source it somewhere else.
@SOCOSalesTraining2 ай бұрын
You're right, that kind of experience is super frustrating! Good salespeople should listen and respect your expertise, not try to steer you away from what you know you need. It's a shame when they make assumptions instead of asking questions to understand your situation. We always tell the salespeople we train to listen first and tailor their approach to each customer. After all, the goal should be to make your buying experience better, not worse. Hope you've got to experience more of the good ones than the bad ones.
