So true. I lived through severe depression few years ago. Couldn't work for 6 months and 1st weeks I could not stop crying without medication. I was totally shattered. All I had in that point was a tiny spark- knowing that I will get over this. I never wanted to die. I detached myself from everything and everyone. All I did was rebuilding myself piece by piece, watchin flames in fireplace and walking in snowy woods. And I let go of my ego, who I've been told to be my whole life, my anger, bitterness... All that made me sick. Today my life is better than ever. I feel deep gratitude for everything I have, want much less than used to and feel true compassion. Now I understand the true meaning of "you can't expect compassion and kindness from broken people". I can say hand on my heart- the hell I went through has been the hardest and the best thing ever happened to me. If someone struggling the same battle is reading this: you will heal, it will become better and you will get stronger. Just believe in yourself❤️

What it means to let go of your ego? How?
@minttul.82372 жыл бұрын
@@Vnnnnn12345 Big question and probably better answered by someone wiser than me. But in my perspective, it was brutal honesty as I was going through my healing(didn't matter if it was brutal- I was in pieces already). All "bad" that had happened to me was really my reactions when I felt mistreated. My NEED to be valuated, my NEED to be heard, my NEED for attention and the list goes on and on. Need, in my experience equals ego. Outsourced valuation is not needed when you have found self. All you need is in you. When you love, respect and value yourself, you don't have to seek thise things from outside. No insults, bad behaviour etc can no longer upset you, if you don't let them. Someone disrespects you- you can just remove yourself from situation and be calm. Going through that work inside my head, I realized every goddamn thing that happened to me was my own fault. My reactions, my choices. And this all was the most liberating discovery ever.

If you feel like you have nothing to lose, then you have everything to gain, everything is a chance, every gamble will be a win, you are the freest person on earth without the need to be afraid of anything. You can fly like an eagle, the world is yours. Why hide in basement, when you can just go out there and do whatever the hell you want. Before you leave, why not have a big blast first since you have nothing to lose at all. Things can only get better from here, no matter what happens... and while you're at it, trying to do some crazy stuff, you may just realize how beautiful your life can actually be and maybe you will choose to stay, because you have just found the meaning of life!

I'm currently in the process of starting from the bottom again. I have lived for one year in absolute misery and despair. I'm 33 and my life just crumbled below my feet... but no more. I'll eat shit for the next couple of years probably, I have nobody anymore but I'll rebuild and rebuild and rebuild. Nothing comes easy in this life. I'm actually somewhat grateful to be able to experience such utter pain... I wish it to nobody not even my enemies but it most probably has made me so much stronger. 42 and I've been chasing my tail all my life, never fulfilled.. always seeking validation for who I am as person, from what I have and how I look .. I've just been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, i have a year of treatment ahead of me, I'm feel so lost at the moment, but I also feel free.. my identity of self is being rocked, I don't recognise the person staring back at me in the mirror, bald, bloated and sick.. but I feel free, like my mask is gone.. its ridiculous how I spent 42 years not really seeing me for me..

Hailing from India where people mehnsplain at the drop of a hat without having accomplished anything by themselves, I am usually wary of motivation from spiritual gurus. This man has achieved something difficult being a Shaolin master and glad that I also see women in his videos about classes in Germany. Martial arts have always kept women for long when I see it is beneficial for everyone. He makes sense, and my biggest takeaway from his videos is emotional regulation. Will pick some form of training I can do watching videos for the sake of basic exercises and discipline. That you for these videos. The learnings from this man are treasured.

Letting go... Yes, you get that message directly in your face when someone closer to you dies. The constant frustration of filling that hole, to be dependent of the love of someone, or doing something to get immediate satisfaction, or just being distracted with bullshit not to deal with it. That's why we have to reconfigure our way of thinking, a mind more discipline to get out of distractions and to find better ways of being truthful to yourself, others and your relationship with the world and that is going to be very uncomfortable. The ups and downs they will exist until the end of our life's. So I believe that to have a discipline mind, it's very important because we believe so much that our thoughts are real and true but they are just thoughts. To change you will always feel resistance to do that.

As someone who’s managed to fulfill every desire I’ve had, I can tell you that paradoxically nothing feels worse than reaching a goal (for me at least) .I’ve realised „struggle „ holds significant entertainment value for me, so I tend to go for goals now that are „impossible „(for me at least) to make the joy of struggle last and avoid spending too much time in the „Void“(when you’ve reached one goal and have to wait for your ego to nail the next list of demands to your forehead!).Life isn’t a game you play with „outside forces and circumstances“… it’s a game you play with yourself. This is why I need him as a teacher and mentor What he says here is nearly exactly what I've been living through, at progressively higher and more extreme levels for 15 years... But my experience has been emotional, psychological and professional but under western society "real world" conditions And having to figure out, on my own, much of what he's said elsewhere I'm tired of being self taught, my cup has holes and I need a new teacher to help me fill in the gaps so I can mend my cup And I need fun too... To balance Yeah ok sports too but that takes negotiation ... Needing to heal, learn to be in a safe environment and basically be treated like a feral wounded cat... But internal vs external His world is extreme old school by western society .. mythical and sort of loved, admired, inspired by but definitely segregated in a minor way like with the view of the old Gods Something to be in awe of but might ruin my nails if fully invested in 🙄 Going it alone, learning in the field so to speak... I need a new map, I need a new quest and a level up... But I need someone who can teach me what skill sets I have and how to better use them and what other skill sets I can unlock Metaphors and analogies are how I communicate best after the stroke 10 years ago... I can see where he goes with his thoughts and see the potential variables... And I understand the depth With the advancement of society, it feels like a common behavior associated with the monks, it turns up in unexpected ways and it might fit a pattern... But maybe a ripple effect.... Nicholas Tesla would have been an artifacer monk It's like D&D with building your character We had a bard once who didn't sing but had the same effect when knitting Real world true too... It's hard alone
