In 1984 I was 9 years old and Transformers and G.I. Joe were my favorite shows and toys. I didn't have a lot of friends, but I had a hell of an imagination. This is bringing it all back. My son is 17 now, but he grew up loving the franchise and I just want to say thank you to everyone involved with this show. This, along with Star Wars and video games has shaped a lot of who I am today. ❤❤❤

Heck he's lucky to even be a Ratchet repaint at this point, if at all. Ratchet was in Cyberverse, a show that went trigger happy with repaints, and Ironhide STILL didn't show up.

Remember watching the shows when it aired on television after school. I had to let myself to the house. Latch key kid. And I wasn't allowed to answer the door. So I'd watched all my cartoons and this was on that list of great shows. One of the best!

Much like the voice acting and the story backstory work, there's no reason for this entire soundtrack to be such a masterpiece. Does a show like this need actual leitmotifs? Or actual overall cohesion? Nope, but we're all glad they do! Much of the original 1985 soundtrack in particular wouldn't feel that out of place in a western, or a sword-and-sorcery epic. For a cartoon designed ostensibly designed to move merch, you can feel actual artists putting forth full creative effort in all aspects of it.

For everyone saying the opening theme has been remastered, it has to an extent, but it is actually the original recording that was used, with the vocals being from the composer Anne Bryant. There is a documentary on KZbin about the theme track and how the timing on the track was all messed up, giving it that offbeat timing.

Citation?, 'cuz I'm also curious. My conception of the "original recording" would be the OG theme song created for the very first comic book commercial. Many ads after that would use that recording, and I think many would agree they should have just used that for the TV opening, instead of just the vocal track from the commercials laid over the Johnny Douglas arrangement of the theme. Incidentally, I still see no evidence of "messed-up timing": Johnny's arrangement has maybe five seconds cut from the intro, but otherwise the timing is exactly the same as the commercial arrangement.
