Andrew, when your starter rope breaks it sucks! I had this happen to me once before and I will tell you a secret, always bring a spare piece of chord or small rope and start your Bravo from the (primary clutch) it works just the same as your recoil, but be careful when you wrap the chord around the clutch. You will need to pull the entire length of chord off your clutch so it does not get caught in the system. It is tedious to wrap the chord three or four times until she fires but it beats walking any day brother. Good to see you out there again. Enjoy and don't sweat the small stuff. I like the videos guy! I have broke the pull cord many times it sucks! If the sled is warmed up you can start it easy with a strap or a rope around the primary clutch on any two stroke. Just overlap the strap a few times pull in the foward direction it will start you don't have to take the the belt off.

I really enjoyed your video. I know I shouldn't laugh about the pull chord handle breaking off but I can associate with your frustration. The woods you're in seems to be well stocked with wild life. Nice to see. Take care and take it all in the stride. That's all any of us can do.

I agree Andrew, I grew up on bravos and it never failed they always needed work! The steering column would break all the damn time...if it wasn't that the ice would build up in the tub and you couldn't steer the fucking thing! Good luck this season and be safe!

For recoil rope tie a Knot in it just below the handle, If it breaKS again at least the Knot will stop it from going all the way into the cover. Little trick work well, Just remember the knot when going to start and pull it out the extra it needs

Easy with the cursing and swearing, crap happens dude, SOLUTION: Always keep a 1" wide tie down strap in your sleds, you can easily wrap the flat rope around the primary clutch to start the machine, and yes I have a Bravo also. This method WILL start the machine, if the pull cord fails. It does take a bit of practice and figuring how best to coil it around the clutch, without it slipping, as the Yamaha clutch is smooth and doesn't grip well, but once you figure out the method you're set.
