Trash Wood to Treasure - DIY Kitchen Island w/ Epoxy River top

This week I built a DIY mobile kitchen island with an epoxy resin “river’ table top. This DIY kitchen island features a slim design to fit my narrow kitchen. The base cabinet is made from baltic birch plywood, and the top is walnut live edge slab cut offs I got from Vintage Reclaimed Lumber in OKC. These cutoffs could have been doomed for the trash bin, but I turned them into something beautiful using Total Boat Thickset epoxy to pour an epoxy resin river. put the pocket holes in Front and back on Drawers, that way back is not seen unless removed and Front is covered up with Drawer face

Would it make more sense to just add the pigment to the last of the three pours? Since you are using an opaque black pigment I would think that the first two layers are not visible under that last layer so any white pigment swirled into them would not be visible.
